I watched most of these dramas and I've just realised that the reason we don't usually ship second female leads (I did in tempted) is because their usually villainized unlike the second male leads.

yukjo deserves a third season only of her in love alarm to show her receiving the love, everything she deserves, i feel that this would be like a revolution for second female lead? lol, like i'm tired of seeing them getting little (or nothing).

i wanna hear a line from the second lead that goes something like this: "you know what hurts me the most? the fact that im doing anything i can to make him love me instead of you but he chooses you everytime when you do nothing and just stand there without any effort waiting for him to come back to you.....so step up your game and fight for him will you? so i could feel that he's loving someone that deserves him atleast..." idk i just feel like that line can show that the secondlead really loves the MC and also shows how mature they are and that they want their loved one to be loved by someone who deserves them even if its not them anymore....

Rachel was literally the saddest character ive ever come across, like ok it was an arranged engagement but u still have to respect her. Her fiancé was literally going around hitting on another girl like how tf did u want her to react.

okay so wont we talk about Cindy aka IU s character in The Producers? That girl deserved the world. She went trought so much and nobody truly understood her, she always got badly treated by the mai lead and the only person in the world she fellt comfortable around prefered that same main lead over her, even tho the main lead was just using him. I've always liked second female lead because they're so independent, sophisticated, consistent about about they love but they are portrayed as evil and brat, we need to break the stereotypes.

I absolutely loved Seo Dan in Crash Landing On You. She is such an interesting and complex character. She portrays a realistic woman. One who isn’t always kind and perfect, one who doesn’t always get the guy. Even though she didn’t get her happy ending, she never considered herself incomplete or discontent. I really felt bad for Rachel from “The Inheritors” because Kim Tan was her fiancé and because of Eun-sang, he decided to break up with her… I support Eun-sang, but that was just really unfair for Rachel 😔

Whenever second male lead is shown the viewers are like oH nO dOnT bReAk hIs HeArT but when second female lead is shown the same viewers already assume her as evil

kang soojin deserves the whole world. she had an abusive father, a best friend who barely interacted with her; the same best friend she liked and he left her for some girl who showed up out of the blue. jugyeong did what soojin had been trying to do for a year. the only thing soojin did the entire show was expose jugyeong; the girl who ruined her life. edit; i’m not saying that she didn’t ruin jugyeong’s life. she did. but she had every right to do so. jugyeong was lying to everyone, making everyone love this fake version of her. and when she found out what she looked like, she thought suho didn’t know so she released it. pls watch the show first.

Why is the second fml displayed as evil? And the second ml always displayed as good and the one letting the girl go? Especially in Heirs and True beauty, both of them(fml) were having a tragic past and they were with the main lead the whole time. Then suddenly some girl shows up and takes the person you've been loving for years. Who wouldn't be sad? I really love Yukjo didn't turn evil and let her man go, whereas Sunoh was stalking and making Kim Jojo uncomfortable. Also, in the webtoon, Sun oh rings Yukjo's love alarm at the end. Why did they have to cut such a prominent scene?

I still don’t understand the ml’s choice in doctor stranger. The fl lied and betrayed him tons of times and he still chooses her even after showing the female second lead hints that he may like her. I understand their situation was really hard but come on, they could’ve not ended up together and still be free.

I don't know about others but I ship second lead female cause they become evil for their love and their is nothing wrong in fighting for your love at least it gives you sense of satisfaction that you tried enough not give up just like that.

Even though most female leads are portrayed as evil, it still hurts more because for second male leads, they often do things unconditionally and at some point, willingly give up pursuing the female lead. Female leads give their everything to be with the man, and when they dont get the only person they ever did anything for, it hurts, because i think we can all relate to living our entire life for someone and still ending up losing them in the end (whether it is a romantic partner or a friend or someone else)

The person for whom my heart sincerely aches is Hwa Gun from the emperor owner of the mask. She never wanted anything in return and always protected the lead. In the end she sacrificed her own life just to save him, she truly deserved more. Coming to the video, I really love it with all the parts do synchronised, it really brings out the pain of second female leads, Keep Making such awesome videos 😊👍

I blame male leads for the villinization of 2nd female leads. In most drama, they encourage the feelings of the girls by doing misleading acts until the female protagonist appears in the scene. On the other hand, is easier to seem kind and nice for second male leads bc they are not direct with their feelings and the female lead never encourage any romantic behaviour or straight foward declines his advances.

I wish we could get kdramas about the life of all the second leads and their own perspective to the original drama.
