IT HAPPENED! Dejoutne Murray has been traded from the Atlanta Hawks to the New Orleans Pelicans! We expected this but we all thought it would involve Brandon Ingram. But ay I guess that's why the GMs are GMs and we're at home because the Pels managed to acquire Dejounte WITHOUT moving Ingram or any of their key pieces for that matter. How we feeling?

As a hawks fan happy for the pelicans cause them having a more traditional pg is good for em and hopefully now with no murray our offense won't be so 1a 1b your turn my turn and trae can keep going crazy and JJ can have more touches. Praying the front office stays aggressive so we can grab some good defenders if nothing else.

Also honestly about how much better the pelicans get with this you were talking about okc, twolves and all them I genuinely wonder with everyone heathy on the pels I wonder how well they do stack up but then again health always been an issue so eh

I'm curious as to what the starting lineup will be because it feels like Trey and Herb are too valuable to come off the bench.

Trey & Herb are both starting caliber wings so on one hand it's crazy to have that kind of talent coming off your bench but on the other hand they kind of deserve better so I get it.

With the lineups so far this year, once these teams have time to cook we might be in a hype couple seasons. It feels like talent is way more spread out across the league.

It does feel like talent is pretty spread out but simultaneously it feels like the west keeps getting more and more stacked lol. The East feels like it's starting to fall behind again.

The 2025 draft is supposedly a LOT more stacked than the 2024 draft so here's hoping!

Im been a hawks game and watch a vast majority their games. Their record and team was just not up to par and dejounte was not as good defensively we needed him to be with trae on the floor. Trae has also stepped up on the defensive end. This trade put then both in a place where they can play to there strengths. Dejounte is by all means a point guard who needs the ball to work.

So do you think New Orleans would be better off letting Dejounte run the floor as their full time Point Guard and having CJ play more like he did as a 2 alongside Dame back in Portland?

I want to know what NO’s plan is. Since Zion, and Ingram both have issues as far as health and consistency. I hope they’re not trying to make a push for the playoffs because at the very best they’d be lucky to make it to the second round
