To be fair in Japan, seeing someone wear a suit related to things like Super Sentai is just a normal day for them. Considering how franchises like Super Sentai is really popular over there.
Akibaranger is a parody, and yet it's crossover with past rangers still felt more genuine than most of the homages in Power Rangers Super Megaforce.... Point goes to Super Sentai but What bizarre world are we living in when the parody has more dignity than an anniversary season!?
Because Toei _KNOWS_ What theyre doing... Saban started HIS shit cause he misheard *ZYUU* Ranger as *_JEW_* Ranger and took it as a divine sign from the Jewish-centric version of God to make what turned into Power Rangers...
@@kokirij0167 Samurai to me is mediorce at best. Dino Charge is alright. Super Dino Charge not so much. Ninja Steel sucks ass. And that's pretty much the Neo Saban Era. Shitass at worst and alright at best.
@@kokirij0167 They rolled out after Saban got the rights back, so yes, they were in the Neo Saban era, kinda like how Kamen Rider Shin, J and ZO (not Zi O) all *_COULD_* all be considered Heisei era over in Japan, but given their circumstances (Ishinamori's passing, them being the bookend / in the tail end of Showa), fans just kind of nod and say "Yeah alright" when someone calls them Showa Riders
But I don't think it was the original suit actor though. Because the original DekaRed suit actor was Hirofumi Fukuzawa which was much taller and bigger in size. Fun fact: Hirofumi Fukuzawa were also the original suit actors for GaoRed, Hurricane Red, AbaRed, MagiGreen, BoukenRed, GokaiRed and few other sentai characters that I forgot. So you can see his body size and shape is more standout compared to other suit actors 😂.
To be fair, it was really a stunt actor that the mentor hired to snap the dude out of it. But still it was a great scene for something that was supposed to be comedic.
And before this scene, Dekared's actor (not suit actor) also appears, but as himself! And he acts so different than his character. Instead of an inspirational quote he only says: "Thank you for still supporting the show".
Like there one one guy who turned his head to look at him and looked so confused. I always wanted to see what normal people do when they see stuff like this lol
Lol well dekarangers do are still cops in Japan like how you see Umeko. So they could be thinking Banban is just on daily patrol. But its still very funny.
@@KRDecade2009 To be fair, to *US* its "HOLY SHIT A SUPER SENTAI IS OUT IN THE STREETS PLAYING CHARADES AND DROPKICKING RANDO CALRISIAN!", but we gotta remember, for the Super Sentai version of Japan..... *_It was Tuesday_*
I’ve originally wanted to write my own Akibaranger adaptation, even to the point of spamming comments with made-up bs (I was a complete idiot in those years), but later scrapped it because I’ve feared it would ruin Akibarangers themes of Akihabara and otaku culture. It’s not an Official Sentai anyways. And with the creative direction of Power Rangers at this rate, especially the Neo-Saban seasons and Hasbro wanting to reboot the franchise, I doubts there’s any point saving. Also why I grew out of Power Rangers and found other interests like gaming and anime.
It’s stupid shit like this is what makes the Japanese Sentai so much better and special. The American adaptation is too voided of emotion and TOO teen/kid friendly.
