Extra space where the sofa is you can use it to make a play area/ art and craft room for the kids. Extra table can be used for kids to do their homework or drawing. Also the extra room can be used for yesha’s online classes or if she is going to have school online

Hi Shuchi, I have been watching your vlogs for quite sometime now. We are planning to move to Canada (though the whole thing is in a very prep stage and dont know if we will get there or not.) and your vlogs are something that I can relate to maybe because I have two small kids and similar lifestyle. Though I am a working mom but can relate to most of your things. Plus till now your vlogs showcased us the life in two of the Canadian cities, each being tremendously different from the other. Prince George completes a triangle sort of a thing and now we can see the life over there. Yours is now a truly tri-city vlog with its merits, demerits, life and lifestyle!! First of all congratulations to you and your family for the new job, relocation and a beautiful house. For growing up kids, space is important. Since I too love doing DIYs and home decors. So thought of penning a few suggestions. I am not sure that in my very first comment I should be doing it or not. But the love for decor propels me ;-). Starting with the room downstairs, you could use that room for your indoor plants and keep that sofa and 2-3 chairs and make it a formal drawing room for guests, can add the TV also. You could also make it kids playroom where all their toys can be stacked along with some cabinet for laundry purpose (in case the laundry room lacks that). The point is you are living in this house and dont leave any space soona types. Use it as it keeps the energy within the house channelized. Climbing up, the space above the fireplace looks like it is meant for either family pictures or decorative items/ souvenirs that people get from their trips all across the world or maybe to showcase plaques of say sportspersons or armymen. My suggestion to you will be - you could use it for your pooja space or hang your Family board DIY with lights and that blue bird cage and some pictures of kids and you guys as couple or just a family pic of you four. you can maybe accentuate the space with the pasting of some nice wallpaper within that shelf. The pink room that you showed can be made as a study for kids plus your space for editing the vlogs and printer etc. You could also place your temple here as the room is kind of study/ workplace You have a great personal taste and I am sure within no time you will make the house look warm and welcoming !! Looking forward to your DIYs and decorations for this house, especially with Diwali coming up :-)

Wow!! Good to see a big house. The table in the kitchen is a must for u. As it shll be easy for u to serve kids nearby. Or else it shall be difficult to walk so far when u cook too. The dinning table can be used when u hv time at night.

Nice house! Small suggestion- the entry room can be used as a library cum office den where you can lounge/read or do your editing stuff! And that space above fireplace you can keep your indoor plants of different sizes, deco stuff with nice battery candles or small lamp! And is it possible to change the color of the walls?

The best part of the house is the Kitchen, but the location of Kitchen is definitely going to make you walk a long way if you are alone in home working in Kitchen, you would have to walk all the way from Kitchen to Main door to open the door, but the best part is you can also choose to communicate from Balcony and check who is at the main door. All the best for the new home.

Fireplace ke upar wale space mein people put wine racks and put wine bottle and if you don’t prefer you can put scented candles 🕯 those big ones for winter,I’ve a carpeted home too though it’s only 4 year old but still thoda smell hota hai winters mein and that’s one idea

Lovely house Suchi. You can decorate the space over the fireplace with some decorative pieces and fairy lights or you can make that a puja space. As someone suggested to make the second bedroom as your office, is a good idea. Basically use it as study. You can shift the small breakfast table there also as you are going to have a big dining table. Now you can grow lots of vegetables in that backyard area and also you can keep a swing for your kids. Stay safe and make this house a HOME.

Maybe you can put Mandir stuff in that space above the fireplace. The spare room downstairs, you can make your office/media room.

Wow a bonus video...now I am so excited to see how you use the spaces in your new place. The house looks a bit dated but has wonderful storage and excellent lighting. It is very airy. I liked the kitchen area. I would suggest you leave the smaller dining table in the kitchen and Yesha/Keyush can join you while you cook. I have a similar kitchen so I know one tends to feel left out if you are alone in the kitchen cooking and rest of the family is in the other room as the kitchen is bit closed off.

Lots of wishes in starting your new journey!!! Room on 1st floor by the entrance you can turn that in your meditation corner along with mandir. Empty space above fire place you can display your and your daughters art work. Room between your daughters and master bedroom can be kids study room along with your office to do your editing.
