DeLand Bike Tour - DAY 4: Orlando Wetlands

Riding from Titusville to the Orlando Wetlands, this is my first time visiting these wetlands. I spend a couple of hours watching birds and riding the trails before continuing my ride. Orlando Wetlands is such an incredible place that I definitely need to come back here for more birding.

That’s what’s great about Florida. So many attractions that we have yet to discover. I’ve been here for more than 20 years and still finding new places to visit.

Another nice day out. Cool to see the all the species of birds and the alligator. The turtles sure looked funny with l legs all stretched out. Looked like a great day. Take care.

Orlando Wetlands is another great birding area with close up views to the birds. This was the first time for me to visit it. I definitely need to go back and spend some more time there. Thanks

What a nice place! I'm glad there are still some wetlands in the middle of Florida. I always like boardwalks over water. You found a lot of birds. I love finding Hawks. They are such pretty birds. Great find! Thanks for sharing! 🙂

It's a great place to see lots of birds and wildlife up close. This was one of the places that I wanted to visit for a long time, finally had a chance to do it😊

Glad you made it to the Wetlands. We really enjoyed it there in the late afternoon and early evening. We saw more Spoonbills there than we've seen anywhere else! You got some beautiful footage while you were there!

In my effort to get to Orlando Wetlands early in the morning I stayed in the Hal Scott Camp, another free St. John's campgroud. The Wetlands is closed on Monday, I almost made that mistake. The Wetlands combined with Merritt Island, can not be better.❤

I never knew that the Orlando Wetlands is so close to Titusville that I can combine the Merritt Island and Orlando Wetlands. Great place to visit. Definitely need to go back and spend more time there.

It's actually closer to Titusville than Orlando but for some reason they call it Orlando Wetlands

I never heard about this place. Next time I have to stop there to check it out. I didn't go to Orlando at this time. Went back to DeLand to catch the train to Jacksonville. The last video is about my ride on Cross Seminole Trail and back to DeLand.

@@FollowThomas Oh ok perfect! We will be watching either way! I have a few lunch suggestions for Orlando if you come this way. We are trying to come towards Jacksonville soon to do a few of the state parks and ride the Mayport Ferry.
