There was no evolving skies crash. Thats something Poketubers have falsely been spreading. They’re referencing a couple of $500 boxes that went up briefly on TCG player a few days ago. But what they DONT tell you is that the seller had a 0 feedback rating and so everyone stayed away. That’s not an evolving skies “crash” it’s just a failed scam.

If you watch Rob’s video, he also shows all the $500 purchases and the manipulation that is happening. RU-vid algorithm likes clickbait stuff, so RU-vidrs have to play the game a little bit

The super premium collection isnt that bad honestly. First charizard figure in 6yrs. Good pack selection (im a SV believer). Not a bad product

The x-ray technology could destroy card collecting if it is a real thing. That said, it really would only affect the very high end collectors. This would be used in sports cards more often. There are cards worth 10-100x what Pokémon is worth.

There are evo skies booster boxes selling for 700+ via bids on ebay....as of today.... TCG player is great for some things and awful for other things.

The card scanner thing won't make any difference to anything. This is a high tech, very expensive piece of equipment operated by a skilled professional. It's not like I can stroll into kmart and pick one up for 10 bucks. The evolving skies move is completely normal and nothing out of the ordinary in any market

It's not about the average joe having access to it, it's about the big stores and conglomerates having access to it that could cause some problems. But I agree with you - it's not really anything to worry about

Given that this could be ubiquitous for big names that can afford it, why wouldn't this make a difference to the individual investors/resellers holding a booster box or 2 for 5+ years? It could be common in the future that, as a buyer, you would be cautious that this box or sleeved booster has already been scanned, just as people are wary that boxes/packs have been resealed. I think it's premature to say that it wouldn't affect the market for individuals without brand recognition. It's also naive to think that this isn't happening already. A kid with extra time on his hands posted a video of doing it, but it's unlikely he was the first to figure it out. @@bulldogdad-b3w that's a good point. I've actually changed my stance on this in the last few days. The process is much more simple than I thought and the machine itself is cheaper. I do think if anything, vintage will be affected the most

Kind of random of them to be making another zenith product with kyogre and ray ray on the box but I really can’t complain since the set is so awesome. I still think the new Zard box is a waste of potential.

I'm not surprised about that packs can be x-ray(did see the video before this one), and I think some people have done it for years without telling it. I'm more surprised that it first get out now xb

You hit a lot of big topics. There is manipulation on evo skies. I hope people don’t fall for it. Regarding the x ray machine, I think Pokémon company has hit men and this machine is going to disappear. Don’t mess with the pokemon company!

Ive been selling evolving skeis easily. I dont think theres a crash? I havent changed my prices. I sell packs for $17 CAD. Sold 13 packs recently.

I would think that would cost a ton. And I find it funny you can see through all the other cards and make out what the rare is. Maybe in the new sets cause the rare being the last card. I will definitely check out jluvs vid

It won't be reprinted mate. It's out of rotation. The last of their yellow card stock is showing up in the sea sky CZ collection. Might see some loose packs dispersed in random products but no big reprint coming

Pokemon is failing bad in their products. Like they used to put out the most amazing promo cards like the tag team alt arts in the tins and premium collections. Now it’s just garbage EX cards. I’m convinced Pokemon is going to have a terrible financial year in 2024 due to trying so hard to diminish the value of their own cards.

Reduce price manipulation is a real thing just as common as increase manipulation. Both are easy to spot with some digging and focused on trending cards and products. End result can leave cards slightly higher but will not effectively reduce price on sealed over long periods of time. X-ray vision isn’t a thing the equipment needed to pull this off is unobtainable due to price for most and not even worth it to those who can afford it. Rigging up an old X-ray machine in your shed to check packs is some methhead type activities. I’d quit watching dudes videos after the way he treated yall during the livestream him and opossum are two people mad because they are heavily invested in the Japanese crash. their main priority is to make people feel bad about English product investments that are doing well. Someone should have called them out during the stream the way opossum whole attitude changed when Ryan showed up was weird. All that bouncing around looking mad may fly on a Pokemon livestream but in real life around some people who aren’t attempting to avoid confrontation that attitude will have someone questioning what your issue is and what you want to do about it.
