I’m so very sad as a United Methodist for the biggest part of my 70 years, that World views has taken over the United Methodist Church,. Gods word is and has always been truth to & in all matters under Heaven. The Bishop at the end said it best , this has been a party from the start , not holy conferencing , a big party, a love train dance hall. Wouldn’t you think the end of all this would be a song or hymn singing to the glory of God? 😢
@@deborahkerns4533 There's nothing in the Bible about this type of hierarchy. Individual congregations are to be self ruling with bishops having oversight. Anything else is man made.

@randallwright2148 From another Canuck: When one has even a partial grasp of Scripture, they know that, yes we ARE supposed to make judgments. Jesus said not to cast pearls before swine (judgment). There were a number of things here besides the repetitive tripe that they were chanting. Okay, so this small 'sample' isn't a tell-all but it is pretty bad. My advice to anyone is to find a Church that preaches the Gospel and become more acquainted with Holy Scripture. I meant to add: This is a far cry from the good contemporary music like Stuart Townend's How Deep The Father's Love or the centuries old, Isaac Watts' When I survey The Wondrous Cross.

I love this so much! Finally I'm seeing a Christian group actually show love and acceptance and God's grace. The disaffilation was the best thing to happen. Open Hearts Open Minds Open Doors is now an accurate description of what it means to be part of the UMC.
All this conference is doing is just pandering to people to continue to receive money. Individual congregations don't need a national governing body. Individual congregations are to govern themselves with elders(bishops) set forth by God 1 tim chapter 1 and Titus 3. Apparently these people have never read Romans 1 or 1 Corinthians chapter 6. You have turned into those mentioned 2 Tim 4:1-4. You only want to hear only things that don't offend you.
This is no longer a church but a social club. Sad stuff but it s all written in the Bible that all these things will happen before the end comes. Repent people before it’s too late.
