Elena only called Damon her soulmate, and she became human again, and as human she told him "I love you more than I thought humanly possible" and in the last episode of season 6, elena human said to Damon the love of her life. Yes, Stefan and Damon were her epic loves, but Damon was even more.

And when Damon died of course he wanted to see Stefan since he hadn't seen him in like 80 years. JP said that Damon and Elena's afterlife includes each other. Why wouldn't it? They're in love. They're married. They're family.
Sweet Fee I still loved the ending and at least we got to know the characters had a happy long human life with marriage and kids and they found peace together and with each other’s family nina was still on point she kept the same vibes it was just Ian he obviously didn’t wanna be there or something he didn’t want her to come back to the show and I think at the time he and niki were having troubles idk it was unprofessional could have been longer and more emotional which I’m sure Ian stopped from happening but I’m just glad we got delena end game and know that at least the characters were still the same 😂
I get that Elena wanted to be human but dammm i hate that she took the cure, i loved her as a vampire she was so badass and she and Damon had the best relationship ever and ughhh I wanted her to be a vampire from season 1 and i'm so frustrated

I love that the whole amnesia-and-then-falling-in-love-again thing is so popular in fanfic AND IT'S ACTUALLY CANON WITH DELENA. They're the superior couple in this show for me. Every couple faces challenges and has a toxic phase in their relationship. What's important is if they get better, move past that and stay together even more in love and stronger than ever.

tbh this is how it should have ended. tvd should have ended after season 6. season 7 and 8 were pretty much useless fillers for the finale when they finally wrapped it all up. if they ended it back at season 6 with damon taking the cure, delena could have had their human life. tyler had left to start a new, same with jeremy. steroline could finally be a couple. instead of suffering through 2 horrible last seasons.
I kinda agree with you but I liked season 7 and 8 because we got see stefan and Damon more as brothers without Elena there. Bonenzo wouldn’t have happened. Plus Caroline wasn’t ready to be with stefan at the end of season 6.

They put Elena in stages to continue selling Damon's fear. Sire bond, then no humanity, now the cure for vampirism. This moment mattered to him above all others because of 3x22. Just in telling him she feels like she wants to kiss him, she's telling him it was always real.

please can someone compel me to forget all the good things I’ve watched about Ian and Nina because rewatching TVD makes me wanna go back time when they were still together. When Ian is not yet married. If only they both waited. Oh my gosh my heart is aching. Around this time (season6) they’ve already broken up. Imagine telling your co-star abt forever,internity which is your ex in real life. I think that’s why Nina left the show. if only they didn’t broke up the show will be good not like s7 and s8.
IMO nina couldn't face the fact that ian was always rubbing his Relationship into her face, bringing up to sets n all,I know he can bring whoever he wants but It would look so odd. More than less Nina was only up for 6 years contract, not renewing it because i mentioned above... i i mean how can she be lovey dovey after he was going to get married.😂

Kiwisen this is exactly my point. when Katherine took the cure she aged fast and then died because she wasn't supposed to be that age, but hundreds years old. If Damon or an older vampire took the cure, wouldn't they die too?? have they all forgotten about what happened to Katherine when she had the cure? I can't understand it
the cure is a potion created by the witch Qetsiyah to reverse immortality. When used on immortal beings, they are reverted to their mortal states and are thus vulnerable to death. The Cure when ingested by a doppelgänger converts the blood of the given doppelgänger, causing it to become a liable candidate for a single dose if ingested and if the doppelgänger in question had lived beyond human years, the post-Cure effects would begin to cause him/her to age and eventually die as happened with Katherine Pierce.
+Kiwisen I always wondered the same until the last episode of TVD, Caroline said they have go give Cade the cure and drink from his blood to kill him. Also there was a scene on a youtube video where Katherine mentioned the reason why she was aging quickly
The writing for this season was a mess (previous season too but oh well) because they had Elena and Damon debate over the cure and talk about how they’re both going to miss being vampires and I never understood why they acted like she HAD to take cure NOW. They could have both easily lived 10 years being vampires and enjoying the vampire privileges to the fullest and then take the cure.
Damon had to reconsider due to his impulsivity, and he's impulsive with every emotion. Actress left the show, so they put her in a coffin until the end.
Elena's gone to 100yr sleep because Nina left TVD after season 6 ended, if i'm not mistaken, and that's because Nian broke up in real life. But they needed her to end the show, so she's back on season 8
It's not a 100 year sleep, the spell that kept her asleep was tied to Bonnie's life force. When Bonnie died, the spell would have ended, but Bonnie managed to sever the link in Season 8 and Elena began to wake
They are a epic love 💗. Stelena is boring it has chemistry but it doesn't have passion. Elena and Damon have always been there for each other. They are soulmates and they complete each other. They went against the balance of nature. I hated that at the end of season 5 elena and stefan had these scenes where they where married and had kids , looking at damons face it's just not right. They play this extremely well even though they have broken up. It must have been hard. Pleging love to another woman in the film while actually being with someone else in real life.
