Ian wanted Bamon, so maybe that could contribute to it. He just had so much chemistry with her, on and off screen. All their scenes, whether they were arguing or not, were amazing.

Everyone is saying it's Ian's fault for not being a good actor, or that "Damon just buried his brother," for the excuse that this scene is bad, but just take a second to realize that whoever decided to write this terrible scene, produce, and see the dull reaction from the actor(s), is at fault here. The writer's could've made better scenes with Elena and Damon talking, they could've filmed a more romantic setting, they could've made the actors look and have more passion for one another. Whoever decided to air this on t.v. should be the one to blame. I am 100% team Bamon, but I will say, I was disappointed when they gave us Delena, only for the scene to be very disappointing. I will also say that the writers have always confused me because they were very against a Bamon relationship (according to multiple interviews) yet in the last three seasons, Bonnie and Damon were super close, just the way they looked at each other and subtly touched each other made it seem like they liked each other, Damon and Bonnie would protect each other to no end, AND multiple times Damon kept choosing Bonnie over Elena.

I mean the Delena reunion they should've ran towards each other and hugged and then gazed into each others eyes and kissed or something there was literally no chemistry in that scene I mean you wouldn't have thought they hadn't seen each other for years. It was very anticlimactic. Yes I know he just lost his brother but he just got back the supposed love of his life back he would probably be so overwhelmed with all this emotion and broken down as soon as Elena hugged him. (That's just my opinion though) With that Bamon scene there was passion, chemistry everything you should have had with a reunion with someone you love.

The fact it’s canon in the books that Bonnie and Damon was endgame makes me even more upset

And this is why I prefer lead actors not actually dating till their show is over or something, or it should be like Penn Badgley and Blake Lively in Gossip Girl even their cast didn't realize that they were dating or that they broke up. And on many interviews the producers and writers were like Nahh no Bamon, Delena is epic, is this what u mean by epic??! I respect that the actors brokeup but still u gotta keep ur professional life separate mann, I m not even a Delena shipper and I am so offended, imagine the ones who shipped them for 8 freaking years!

I’m glad there’s a video addressing this. I just finished the series and was so disappointed with their reunion. But I think the fact that they hadn’t worked together in two years may have something to do with it. They kept the chemistry in the 5th and 6th seasons after breaking up irl because they saw each other every day. Going a few years without working with someone will change that natural chemistry. I just think Nina leaving the show ruined it, though I’m sure it’s what was best for her 🤷‍♀️

I loved Damon and Bonnies weird relationship TBH, super funny and it was really nice to see the respect Damon had for Bonnie, and the way Bonnie held him responsible for stuff lol. It was just entertaining to see the way they were both a little confused about where they stood when people brought it up. In the end, I think Bonnie needed someone better than Damon. My OTP in TVD is Enzo and Bonnie though. I would change nothing about them, and all I would change of their story is that stupid ending where Enzo had to die. Still ridiculous that the healthiest couple in the show had to be half killed off.

It's just the fact that two exes had to work together all over again to please some fans. That's really disturbing. Elena shouldn't have returned, especially if Ian and Nina weren't cool with each other yet.

Reason was very simple...Both nina and ian were not in good terms..Ian was literally very cold towards nina after her exit from show..Even in the interviews he made rude statements when they asked about nina return in finale episode..With all the remaining cast nina had a better relation..They were all friends so they were all doing it perfectly..Its just from ian side..He got married to someone else,I understand that..But what happened to his professionalism..Why mixing personal and professional life?? His performance on finale episode was very disappointing...Everone did amazing job except ian....LOL...

IMO, the Delena reunion, aren’t they both human? Like yes they’re both excited to see each other, but when they were vampires that would’ve been heightened because their emotions are heightened. Idk just a thought. And Damon originally started out only tolerating Bonnie because she was Elena’s best friend and he knew Elena would feel some type of way if something happened to Bonnie. It seemed to go from tolerating, protecting, befriending, understanding, to “I love you” but not in a romantic way, but the way you tell your best friend before you hang up the phone.
