The trouble with Evony is unless you spend big you have little chance of winning competitions for prizes like big castles and civ gear etc. And always something comes out to spend more money on to stay relevant. If they invested in game play rather than monotonous and repetitive tasks people would stay longer.

i started playing evony recently. i am a highly intuitive person. along the lines of the first week when i started playing, i had a dream i was looking at my phones screen and the witches, the ones you give pies to, they came alive and they started to come out from my phone and into my real life. After that i started to be disturbed by the spells from which the monsters spawn. i realized there was something deeper than honest fun and amusement that was going on here.

I'm about at that point as well, but only been playing for just under 9 months. Spent more money than I can count, and being R5 it feels like it's a full time job. It's that constant "I hate this game" but then the "I've wasted so much time and money on this game". Funny thing was I was going to do the full cake to get a supremacy civ piece this weekend, but now I think I'll skip it.
