If I had a partner for the baking side I would jump on this in a heart beat! I have so many ideas already!! I put out feelers for a baker! Buy another piece of property to put up a couple of tinies for everyone that works there!

Our corner store opens everyday at 0430 except on sundays, then they open at 0600. And they close everyday at 10 pm except on the weekends they close at 1100 pm. But they sell wine, beer, energy drinks and a ton of soda. Plus lotto and smokes. Yes, this can make the money.

I miss these style of markets. They were fun and had homemade food. Fresh baked in the morning, coffee and hot chocolate. Fresh cheese and ice cream 🍨 in the afternoon.

The older I get the more I like the amish attitude , they are so unspoilt by the west and always give good service , the very fact they sell rescued food is awesome , we have become so wasteful in life generally and far too much food goes to waste in every country , in england it doesnt get sold like this and alot gets destroyed. What a great opportunity for someone and you can tell it's an important part of the local community . What a great bunch of young men , you could see their interest in us westerner weirdos with cameras and crazy lives, bless them , they was so well behaved and eager to help , unspoilt by modern ways , theres something pure about their way of life that appeals to many I'm sure . I hope they find someone perfect to continue what theyve built up and benefit from all their knowledge they are willing to share .

This has so much more going for it, especially with that barn and lean-too. selling Hay, Animal feeds, space for selling garden equipment, or even Shed or even turn the barn into a trailer fabrication/ repair business. even a mini tractor supply. wow so much more was going through my mind and for that price it seems a steel with everything that is already in the store

Wife is seriously interested. (I was more interested in the RV park but we knew we had no way for that kind of capital). Funny part is that for the cost of my house here in Sacramento, I would still be saving money after buying the business and a house.

Nice set up. I hope whoever got it is as decent and likable as the people in this video seem to be. And I like that he was food oriented instead of trying to be a liqueur store. In my view that made it a true asset to the community. And even by 2021 standards the prices seemed surprisingly reasonable. And doubly so when you consider it wasn't some big huge cooperation that can afford to buy in massive quantities. I can see why people would like shopping their. On a nice day a person might be able to set up a little picnic area their as well.

Good thing we didn't live close to it. My wife really likes cinnamon rolls. I think she likes almost any cinnamon bread combo. And unfortunately I like ice cream,donuts and almost all foods.

I love the idea of the bakery. Selling local, fresh and good baked goods is phenomenal. I would like to see a breakfast/lunch thing integrated and William has a great idea of expanding with the local grown veggies and fruits. Will William share his distributor of other bagged stuffs? I missed how big the property is and what is the laws for grocery stores there? I would have a bunch of questions to make this move. I used go to CT to visit my brother and he took me and my mother to a small independent Italian store. I mean this store was tiny maybe 20X15, but they had the best meats, eggs, pasta, cheese. That year we must have increased their profits by thousands. lol

@@BradSimmons I thought I seen Bluebell. My main Problem with Blue Bell (besides the fact I'm not supposed to eat sweet stuff) is I can't stop with just one bowl. But after I finish one bowl of Blue Bell Mint Chocolate chip I seem to need another bowl.

1st thing I would is make it look more inviting from the road, move the entrance so it faces the road maybe a covered porch with some tables so people can sit and enjoy their ice cream Needs simple hot fast food, fried chicken, hot dog, hamburgers.and a small sitting area to eat I think it also needs fresh produce, stuff to set it apart from Dollar General And a major restocking, empty shelves look bad for business

You nailed everything i was thinking. You cant slow down off a highway and easily get in one small entry way. I would get the whole front blacked topped to the road. I would move the trailer out front of the barn, paint it up and make a drive through out of it. And Yes, im concreting the entire barn floor and sealing it in. Numerous things i could use it fore. Maybe, could even put three above fuel tanks and sell gas??? Probably live in that one small room so add a bathroom back there. Later, let a Mgr or baker use it as part of salary. Living Qtrs. The Empty Ground, HUGE Garden, maybe even half in Greenhouse. Sell my own veggies. Maybe even room for some chickens/eggs, Find other businesses to sell bakery items to like restaurant, schools, nursing homes , hospitals. That can grow beyond the walls. Any lakes around?? Fishing gear and bait?? Beer and wine??? BBQ, Burgers and Tacos, hahahahaha

It has potential but needs a lot of investment capital to reach it. It is very interesting but my husband's health issues right now would necessitate another employee. I don't think that 300k in sales would cover all the salaries and expenses.. Tempting because it does have possibilities.

Are they Amish or Mennonite? Because Amish typically shun the electricity & modern technology/equipment shown in the store in this video whereas Mennonite don't have those types of restrictions/aversions. I know Kentucky used to have a sizeable Amish population centered among several communes throughout the state, but somewhere around the turn of the millennium, the Amish moved back to Pennsylvania and the Mennonites moved into the area or expanded to include the former-Amish communes.

Brad, when you'll went outside in the back you had a shot of a farm. What kind of farm was it? If it a local dairy farmer I have some real nice ideas for the summer. I would like to encompass the rear of the store with the walk-in, so you don't have to walk outside to get product. My head is hurting of the potential I see in this. Thanks again Brad.

Hi Isaac Simmons, the far was probably a cattle grazing or hay farm --- not too many dairys around these parts. And I totally agree - I would do the top 3 things William suggested immediately to start, then as the cash flow goes up add on, build out -- and most importantly, ask your customers what they'd like to see more of... Golden.

That means 1 out of four cars would stop. No way probably get 1 to 5 non locals a day. Probably 5 to 10 locals who need something like milk or butter but probably not spending more than 10 bucks. I think this business is sustainable for 1 small income maybe even a part time employee might cost too much. I don't know if there is a gas station nearby, but if not you could sell beer, wine, cigarettes, and booze. (People don't want to drive far to get a 6 pack)

Hi Martin Flint, Money at the bank is not paying anything to their savers. Find someone who you might even know - and offer them 3 or 4% on their savings. My bank is paying .15% --- 4% is many, many times more than that. Your payments would be $583/mo interest only. Make that low, low payment (heck, that's not a lot more than the electric bill). Get on your feet, run it for 2 yrs and any local bank will lend to you on it --- and pay back your friend --- OR, maybe your friend will like having that income. Sock money away and pay it off in 7 yrs. All up to what your goals are. But private money is a wonderful way to go here. And they have the real estate as collateral with a mortgage on it. Someone gave this family bad information about merchandising and mark-up. There's no way they're making money in that deli case after factoring in waste, energy, labor, fuel surcharges cost. I'm betting they lose money on many sales.
