Deli Sub like K-Mart’s Submarine 

4 submarine rolls, white soft split
8 slices salami with peppercorns
4 slices beef bologna
4 slices honey ham
4 slices American cheese
½ small onion, sliced thin
½ head iceberg lettuce, shredded
2 tomatoes, sliced thin
1 oz. mild banana pepper rings
1 whole dill pickle, sliced thin
1 oz. yellow mustard
Prepare your vegetables by slicing ahead of time. Slice each of the meats in half. Open the bun, but do not tear the hinge of the bread. Begin by squirting mustard on both sides of the bun. On the bottom bun place 4 salami halves, 2 bologna halves, 2 ham halves, 4 cheese halves, onion slivers, 4 tomato slices, shredded lettuce, banana peppers and the pickle slivers. Close and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate until 30 minutes before you eat.
Having this sub is such a treat and brings back many wonderful memories. I remember going to K-Mart as a young teenager and walking up to the counter that had the deli subs. My grandmother Copp always made sure we would get our sub to take home. I hope you would consider making it for your family.
