Have to agree. After getting a Para 3 my Delica suddenly stopped cutting as well. The mere presence of the Para 3 seems to have dulled the Delica blade or maybe softened the steel. I didn't even consider my health or how much time I was wasting with my Delicrap.

I think the delica and para 3 lightweight are both overpriced, the delica should be around $40 and the para 3 LW should be around $80

Hilarious! I own 2 delicas and never carry them. Prefer the sage for a small Spyderco but i have been eyeing the para 3 lw alot lately. I used to own the para 3 s110v but sold it as i prefer the pm2 to it although this lw version might just be the ticket being more pocketable potentially and with the wire clip. Love the compression lock! Maybe Spyderco will offer upgraded steel at some point also.

I swear this video just kept getting better and better. In all seriousness, there is no reason to buy a Delica anymore. The better clip on the Para 3 also helps.

Still love the the ole Delica 4. I’ve got the Para 3 lightweight and it’s good but I still find myself still carrying one of my Delica’s! Maybe if they come out with color variations I might feel differently.

Hair whittling sharp was my PM 3 LW on arrival. Usually I like to do my own edges but why when it comes this sharp, if a little toothy.

I own both, and the delica was my first knife but, the para 3 is like the upgraded rolls royce of the two, buttery smooth action and better steel too.

Lol nice snarky video. Love the labcoat. I still love both knives. Blades are a little different. Handles are a little different. My one main ding on the Paramilitary 3 (for me personally) is the compression lock. It's a great lock obviously, but I use my knives ambidextrously and the compression lock is really right hand only unless you get a left hand version, and then it becomes left hand only. It's possible to use the lock with the other hand but not the way it's intended to work with your index finger, you have to use your thumb and then position the knife so you're barely holding it, unless you just depress the lock with your thumb and then close the knife with your full hand i.e. the mid backlock on the Delica 4 which is contrary to the benefits of the compression lock. It's still great, and the technology is far superior from an ease of use perspective, but for ambidextrous use I prefer a liner lock (which I don't consider inferior, *just on an opening/closing standpoint without regard to lock strength*). Maybe one day we can hope for a liner lock Paramilitary 3 Lightweight and perhaps a liner lock Sage 1 Lightweight, but the Paramilitary 3, and Delica 4 are still both great and different knives. The projected Sage Lightweight will be the Sage 5 with Compression lock. I hope Spyderco does not go the same route as ColdSteel and start using the same locking mechanism in everything because I enjoy all their locks in all their variations of knives... The compression lock is great, but they don't need to sell all of their knives with it as their only option because they determine everyone loves it and there is no need for another kind of lock anymore. I like my delica 4 personally.It was first good knife and it’s held up for years. I agree it’s obsolete with the para 3 out now unless your just set on the lock back.

Unless the Para 3 Lightweight gets $20 cheaper, there is still a big market for Delicas. For what’s worth, I already have two Para 3 Lightweights.

i like the para 3 lw for being more secure with the lock while closing, the bigger opening hole and that finger groove. it feels faster to open and close. its smoother, u can fingersnip it open with the middle finger. wont work on the delica. delica itself is a very fine knife. it feels and looks outdated and too heavy, still, it feels more sturdy. the para 3 lw and the dragonfly 2 might be the best edc knives on the market now, if u ask me. yes, the knifejourney never ends, especially with edc knives.

With spyderco’s price hikes every year you might as well just buy a benchmade bugout over a para 3 lightweight. It’s only like $20 more now. It’s funny because when the bugout was first released I thought it was priced a little high compared to the competition, but now it’s almost a bargain.

Everybody who wants to get rid of their worthless Delica's and Endura's, feel free to sent them to me. I'll take care for this crap😉

If the Delica 5 has a ball bearing lock and better blade steel, they can turn it around. The problem with the para 3 is that it isn’t completely ambidextrous. Left handed users do not have the same convenience closing the knife as right handed users.

After watching this i just threw my Delica in the garbage where it belongs. I dont wven have a Para 3 yet but after seeing this i can no longer walk around with a rotten piece of garbage in my pocket.

The compression lock on the Para3 is why it wins and is also why it costs a little more than the Delica4

The para3 LW had the advantage of years of feedback to spyderco whereas the delica is an old workhorse. Now if it was only offered in a sprint run Rex 121.
