The vast majority of Delicas in Canada are right hand drives imported from Japan. Left hand drives are quite rare coming in from Germany or Taiwan.

The primary advantage of disk brakes is heat dissipation. Drums actually offer more braking power believe it or not. For a high performance car where the brakes may be put through multiple hard stops in a short period of time disks definitely offer a large advantage to minimize brake fade. On big slow heavy vehicle that won't ever really see performance driving swapping to rear disk probably won't net you much benefit for the cost.
