SUGGESTED LEAD IN
Diamonds may be a girl''s best friend -- but a relative newcomer on the gem stone block is also attracting attention.
Twice as brilliant as the emerald, it''s known as Tsavorite.
It''s being mined by hand in Kenya -- three hundred and fifty kilometres (two hundred and eighteen miles) east of the capital Nairobi.
STORYLINE
Kenya is famed for it''s beautiful landscapes -- and it''s wildlife.
And now it''s set to become even more popular for its gemstones.
One relatively newly discovered stone in particular, the Tsavorite, is capturing the eyes of commercial jewellers.
Later he opened this mine in Kenya at Mindi-Kandashi.
