kofola is WAY better than coke, its made of herbs and kofo, which is a syrup made from coffee waste and it gives kofola its original and amazing taste.

And whats more interesting, it never was aimed to be "version of coke" or anything else. I realy dont like when even slovak and czech people are saying that kofola is kind of our version of coke or copy or so.

@@roman45678 NEITHER DO I!! i love kofola for what it is, and as you said, it was NEVER ever meant to be a sort of slovak coke, or a coke replacement or anything. it is its own standalone drink and its bloody delicious and super specific!

Wow...every food tour of yours I've watched has made me hungry! You guys are so great at conveying the enjoyment of the experiences! Liver in many forms is a big thing especially in Eastern Europe. I've always loved liver pate particularly. Mushrooms are like a separate food group - the locals gather them and preserve them for the long winter months, as well as eat them fresh. I don't think there is a country in that part of the world that doesn't have some sort of cabbage specialty, whether in the form of "sauerkraut," fresh or otherwise. And the blueberry brandy at the beginning looked awesome. Great job, and what a wonderful destination!

My brother is travelling with the military and he said Slovakia is the most beautiful country he has every seen. I can't wait to visit. Definitely doing a food tour!

I just found your channel and I am so happy that you visited Slovakia as well as Hungary too. I am a Hungarian living in Slovakia. I am happy you liked the Kofola and the other dishes. I'm watching this in 2022, but watching this makes me so happy! My whole family is from Slovakia, not Bratislava, but from places near by, and I eat literally all of these food! Sauerkraut soup is my favorite food in the whole world. Food tours are definitely the best and it is the best way to learn about a culture. I have never even heard of Bratislava, but definitely a beautiful place. Great that you guys choose the non traditional places tourist goes to see.

Guys big well done for coming to my country. I miss chumky and cheese and kofola just looking at your food tour. My mum always cook for me when I come for visit. 😍 I would recommend to you to come back and visit mountains and castles. Although I been living in London for past 15 years I still believe that Slovakia is one of the most picturesque countries of middle Europe

Ha ha! Kara’s shock at the chicken liver pate made me laugh. I’m pretty sure that the Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) that you lived on in Hanoi would have had pate in them! I’ve recently discovered your vlogs and am loving watching them from the beginning!

Oh man, I've been waiting for this. I lived in Bratislava for 2 years from 1996-1998 and you really took me back with this! Omg vyprazany syr (the fried cheese)!!! I don't remember that zmrzlina shop (ice cream) but I didn't take any official tours, we just found our way wherever haha

Great video you guys. The soup was funny. My ex mother in law (German) used to get mad at me because I wasn't a fan of soup, especially when warm outside. But it is like a European thing, they think it warms the inside especially when somebody is working outside in the cool European weather.
