Yeah lol, I think it was explained in the extras that Laios (and Senshi too, but it's less obvious) thinks of her as a cat and not as a (teen) cat girl, which might explain his behavior towards her
@@ilavain Yeah! Him and Marcille both think of Izutsumi first as a girl, cat second. Chilchuck treats her like a daughter while Marcille treats her like a sister :)
You know with Marcelle trying on all of these clothes the people have her put on reminds me that the manga artist Ryoko Kui also had most of the characters in various modern outfits & even exchanging their normal attire with another party in the extra material, & Laois having milked a Minotaur reminds me of Monster Musume
Izutsumi likes Marcille so much. I guess a theory is because Marcille is the one who removed that curse that had symbols around her neck. Cats pick their person or people and she clearly adores Marcille. Marcille has no choice. She is a cat mom now.
Just to add about the sword. It didn't have the lions face on it when he first picked it up. It only became that way after the dungeon eaters tried to "fix" it. So yeah, that "prophecy" is might fishy if you ask me.
15:20 It's occured to me that THIS is one of the best ways to do 'chosen ones', especially mid series like this where the prophecy isn't the main focus of the story. Basically, picking the one person who HAS NO BUSINESS being the chosen one, and the party member's knowing it.
All elves in the setting are femme coded, even the males (like the Mad Mage). That being said, they're all androgynously femme, which helps indicate what Marcille's backstory really is about...
