Texas, USA here. That looks absolutely delicious. I used your tempura on some whiting for fish and chips tonight. My mother commented that it was really lovely. Thanks for sharing with us. Take care. 😊
I really enjoy all the experiences you voyage out on; foraging fishing, boating, commercial help, and I see you're a good cook as well mate! Thanks and keep sending the assortment of great experiences! I'm a seafood fanatic but I can't get any abalone
Jay, I made the mistake of watching your video now instead of waiting. I over slept this morning so I didn't have time for breakfast and your video has made me even more hungry and I take a late lunch so no eating for another 3 hours! Even more terrible, it won't be as good a lunch as yours was! I have to find some lobsters and make this recipe myself. Well done with both the food and video and I'm glad your new string paid off so handsomely. Have a great weekend, my best to the family and continued success. Are you and Sam or Inglorious going back to the area you went to last year for those HUGE abalones that you could only get to by boat, rocks away from shore? I'm curious to see if there are big ones still there. As you were saying the latest ones are on the small legal size. Thanks again for posting.
I used to keep sheep. Kept the grass in my field down and tasted lovely. I used similar bands and pliers to put on the tails of the new borns and goolies of the males. It was painless and the tail and bits dropped off after a few days. PS try a little flour in your sauce to thicken it up.
If it’s any consolation, I love how you toss back the ones that are questionable; it shows not only respect to the laws but to future peoples in how to respect nature and the rule of law…
if you can't get cream, melt your butter, let it cool, mix it with your milk, and a little cornstarch or flour, to make a slurry to help thicken the sauce
Hard to beat a day like that on the water. That pasta looked delicious, hope you saved your mother in law some lol. Mrs says to add a little bit of the pasta water to the sauce. Says the starch from the pasta water will help thicken the sauce👍🇨🇦
@@SMASHFISHING Awesome! Admittedly, I haven't been around in a while. Been trying to finish music notation for songs I've written. Music producer is waiting in Nashville since I showed the lyrics. God is good! 🙌 Thanks for sharing your awesome content. It's been a while since I've been able to go fishing. For people that haven't, it just melts stress and tension. When I'm done, it's one of the first things I plan on doing as a pat on the back. 😎
We only need such a scheme if local fishermen are taking berried females in large numbers. I expect countries with a v notch system had untrustworthy fishermen with no respect for the species?
This is the first time that you've mentioned your mother-in-law. I know you keep the family private and respect that. With that in mind, I'm only going to say CONGRADULATIONS Jay. I hope I'm around to see and your child fish together.
No way did that not split?you must have a secret ?? ,isn't milk and butter basically the same as cream? ,don't understand the cooking but but love the foraging
You know your limit is 5 lobsters a day and what you don't need goes into your store pot. Does that not make a mockery of the daily limit because if a customer wants 10 lobsters you have them in your store pot of can you only sell 5 a day!
I’m legally aloud to land and store 5 lobsters per day , it’s all documented in my sea fisheries log book so they know how many and what weights I’m catching and selling
SMASH, WHY DONT YOU GO TO CULINARY SCHOOL AND SPECIALIZE IN SEAFOOD. YOU ENJOY COOKING. SMASH HOUSE SEAFOOD RESTAURANT. I THINK IT WOULD BE A SUCCESSFUL VENTURE!
he doesn't tow it he use the inflatable to get from shore to his boat that is moored in the bay he then ties the inflatable to his mooring then once hes done using his boat he goes back to the mooring ties the boat up then rows back to shore on the inflatable
