Well done Jeremy, from a Vietnamese subscriber! Only thing my mother would do differently: put another few ladels of that broth in!!

Awesome recipe I love making chicken and beef pho for the family one of my favourite dishes. Living in the U.K. can be difficult to get Thai basil all year round so I decided to grow my own from seeds and always have some handy for recipes :) thanks for sharing your recipe :)

I really enjoy your videos, except that the camera operator, quite often is concentrating on watching Jeremy talk, rather than what he is doing, and we miss out on quite a bit of what is going on. Please Mr Cameraman, we want to see the preparation and cooking as much as we want to see Jeremy.

We have another camera operator now, it is hard to film it all as one person and get everything as it's happening. Future videos will be a lot better - Lee

Thank you Jeramy I made this tonight for tea I wasn’t sure right though the process BUT it turned out fantastic 👍The only thing I would say as you eat it get better and better as the herbs and chilli start to infuse their flavour I think next time I might leave for a couple of minutes after I added the broth to give time for that extra flavour to infuse .Keep the Video coming as you have really sparked my imagination and desire to cook from fresh after years of ready meals and take aways 😀😀😀

Does legitimate Thai spas actually exist?! :D Theres a street in Helsinki filled with "Thai massage parlours" and all the doors & windows are full of bright colorful flashing lights and the windows are covered :D Dunno why im commenting about those in a School of Wok video....

I LOVE PHO!! I know I'll probably catch hell for this but my favorite is the noodle bowls: Bun Bo Nuong. and the nuc mom (spelling??) sauce. I think I cold live on this stuff. PLUS, any video with Jeremy "BASHING" stuff with his cleaver. Suggestion: A best of or compilation video with noting but Jeremy bashing stuff with his cleaver and the smile afterwards. hehe

I have a quick question,not about what you have done I love it by the way,is it safe to use a marinade that’s been used for chicken to toss through noodles if you heat it enough,I’m thinking if I bring it to a boil it would be ok
@SchoolofWok
@SchoolofWok 5 лет назад
I would avoid it if I was you, as you may overcook the noodles if you boil it long enough to kill off any bacteria - Lee

You did a wonderful job, better then most I've seen on RU-vid for Chicken Pho. As some have suggested you are missing a couple things. The carcass with the wings does add more flavor, collagen and fattiness to the stocks. We also put the roasted spices in a cheese cloth as not to have bits of star anise in the soup. And lastly we like to have the chicken livers and gizzards in there also, it's a breakfast thing.

i'll put up an honest comment which will be just my opinion. I love this channel and the videos are equally enjoyable, but what i think can improve is the video editing. It justs o happens sometimes that Jeremy says something and does something with the knife but all we get to see is Jeremy's face and sometimes the video is blur for a second.

can you use the cooked onions from the broth in assembling the bowl part to eat? or is it deemed to overcooked to eat? Just a texture thing maybe?
@SchoolofWok
@SchoolofWok 5 лет назад
I haven't tried it, but I'd assume they would be too overcooked. You can always make it and try it once it gets to assembling and see what you think! - Lee
