Hello I want to thank you so much. I'm 71 yrs old never have I had such fantastic roll. The best I ever ate, thank you so much for sharing. The honey butter recipe was delicious. I'm so glad I found you. God bless and keep you.
I add 3/4 cup water to a Pyrex measuring cup and heat in microwave for several minutes. After the water sits in there for several minutes, it’s nice and warm; a perfect place to let dough rise. Just another idea…
I am a fairly newly retired woman. I love bread. I went on the search this week for the perfect roll. It amazes me how similar the ingredients are but how different the outcome can be. I made 3 different recipes this week. This recipe was the 3rd try. It is also the last try. My search is over! Hallelujah! Perfection and sooooooooo delicious. The one thing I noticed about this recipe from the others (besides the 3rd rise) is that the other the others used butter instead of oil. and they added one egg. I don't know if that's the reason they are so different but oil is cheaper than butter and zero egg is cheaper than one egg. LOL. Anyway this is definitely going to be my go to recipe. Thank you. and btw...I love your singing "Rise again"!!
Just starting this video and personally, I don't like egg in bread. Egg, sugar and/or milk softens texture, but don't like egg bread if not fresh, so my focus has been on sugar, milk for softening, but also started using old dough from overnight to weeks old dough in fridge. I like that "old dough" solves what milk/sugar/egg partly does and adds flavor. The other big trick I'm trying this year and NOT adding flour to my recipes, instead letting the dough sit for way longer so flour can better absorb the liquids... it's called " autolyse " and is another huge gain in my dough this year. The "no added flour" came from an Italian baker that only uses a dough scraper.. NO dough on the board. Let your dough sit longer, which THREE rises also accomplishes. I'm eager to get this video playing, but last thing I changed this year and now I usually bake rolls in a pyrex or other container, so rolls touch and rise upward. I've done them individually too, but overall always like them better when they are touching after baked. So far I like your video.. thank you!! ;)
Hello from Scotland 🏴 I just wanted to say how brilliant this recipe is!! I made them yesterday and they were a huge hit!! For my rising time I set a hot water bottle under an upside down cake pan and put my bowl of dough on top of it and covered it with a towel. It worked so so good!! Our house is always cold in this chilly Scottish climate so I had to make a little warm spot. Thank you for this great tutorial. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️
This is my grandson’s favorite Yia Yia bread. I’ve had several recipes in the past. When he tried these, he said I didn’t need to try any more new recipes. The only changes I make are I usually don’t keep milk in my house so I use one cup of water with 2 or 3 tablespoons of powdered milk. Also, I substitute cooking oil with olive oil. It’s the third rise that makes these magical. Sometimes I just throw the dough in a bag and put it in the refrigerator overnight. This too also works equally beautifully. Thank you again so much for your channel, the sharing of your faith, and this delicious recipe.
Update from previous comment. I made this recipe, divided the dough into smaller portions, and put it in freezer bags. When I want fresh rolls, I let it thaw, shape, let rise, and bake as directed. Perfection. I use extra virgin olive oil.
Yummy. Nothing like sweet rolls. Thank you again for doing the collaboration. Such fun. So many of your sweet subscribers came over. A real blessing. Great singin! I bet you didn’t know I am a Classically Conservatory trained Opera singer. Spent most of my life touring throughout the US and Europe. I so enjoyed my church singing days. Rise Again and The Holy City two of my favorite Easter songs. Lord bless❤️🇺🇸Darlene
Oh yeah!, and thank you for not using a stand mixer!!..i do not have the money for a stand mixer, and i know my aunt Eula Rae didn't have a stand mixer... Everything was by hand., thank you, i love your recipe!!! Mississippi girl😘
I have tried over 6 recipes I am 65 years old and have never found such a great recipe for light and fluffy rolls.. This is the only recipe that was a success. I am wondering it adding more yeast. Will give a better yeast taste, but if not, these are absolutely delicious.
I had found and used Ken Click's roll recipe earlier today. Quite easy. I used a stand mixer with good results. Nice soft rolls. Looks like RU-vid wants me to see more roll videos!
For all those who asked, she uses all-purpose flour and a heaping teaspoon of salt (that wasn't written in the recipe in the description)... Looks yummy for the tummy!
Thanksgiving 2021, I made these rolls. My first ever attempt at homemade dinner rolls. Thank you so much! My husband absolutely loved them!! I am thankful for the love you and your husband show for us all!
I am so glad I found this video. I made these rolls today on Resurrection Sunday. They are really good and easy to make. I thought it was so befitting to listen to you sing, "Rise Again" as I made them. Thanks for sharing.
I made these this morning, doubled the recipe to freeze some. They are quite lovely, so soft and delicious! Thank you for sharing your recipe! Blessings to you and yours!

Very new to your channel, but I had to let you know that I tried those dinner rolls. They are wonderful, soft, sweet, and the best I've had without eating out. I like to make my own bread and have been for the past year, but it was never dinner rolls. Now it will be. Thank You so much for the recipe and showing me how you do it. God Bless.
Ran across this while searching for a yeast roll recipe. Made these for the firs time, like ate one right before this post with the cinnamon butter. JUST WOW!!
I can't get over how much I love this recipe, and your video... I started making bread a couple months ago, and have went to one video after another... Some worked, some not so much( and I know it was probably me 🤔)... But your video, I keep going back to!!., I don't usually like it when people talk, but you talk just enough, and you have me wanting to listen to you more, lol , Thank you so much, from this Mississippi girl😘
I’m rewatching this video. When you sang “Rise Again” it immediately brought me back to my childhood. My mom loved listening to Dallas Holm. In fact we went to see him in concert when I was younger.
Ohhhhh man, these things are legit! Forever I’ve been searching for the rolls they used to serve us in grade school c.1987… these are pretty dang close!!! Fluffy and yeasty and kind of sweet… 😍

I made these rolls yesterday for Christmas dinner and they were delicious! Today I’m using the same recipe for cinnamon rolls to share with friends. I’m sure they’ll be yummy.
Hi I just signed in for the first time with you, which I don’t sign I. Much I just usually just watch , but I just love your personality. I think your husband picked a good one. I will try your rolls out and let you know how they were. Pray for me and my family God bless you
I just searched for the perfect dinner rolls and your video came up. I’m trying them right now, and they are on their first rise. I’ll update again when they’re finished!! Thank you and god bless!!
These rolls were AMAZING. So light and fluffy. Everyone loved them. I will say I shorted the salt, and you could definitely tell. I’ll have to add the correct amount next time I make these!!
This video just came up on my feed and I couldn’t resist watching and oh my word those rolls look delicious! I’ll definitely be trying that recipe as well as the honey butter! My daughter and I used to go to this very expensive steak restaurant when she was in university and they served rolls with honey butter and they were sooo good! They used to pack up a doggy bag of leftovers for the starving student and they would always include extra rolls and honey butter for her. It was our very special place to go for lunch just for the two of us when we got together. Thank you for reminding me of that time! God bless, also I did subscribe and I look forward to more of your videos.🥰❤️🙏🏻🇨🇦🍁

Those sure look delicious. I’ll need to watch again to write down the recipe for the honey butter. I love your new rolling pin! You mentioned in another video that a viewers husband made it. I was wondering if he sells them. Those would make great gifts to my baking family. Thanks for the video.🥰
Your rolls are so pretty!! They look so good!! I'm going to have to make these next week! Thank you for sharing your recipe! Blessings to you and your family!!
I made the rolls and found that the dough was very sticky but I pushed thru this to the end. These rolls are absolutely EXCEPTIONAL! They are even great the next day and the next. Just heat them up.
Oh Leslie. I don’t know how you kneeled that bread so long. My hands are tired. I tried singing oh I need you but it didn’t work. Had to do it the old fashioned way. Lol. First rise done in an hour.
Hey there. My name is Gail and I live in SW Florida. I grew up in Maine and have only lived down here for 2 years. I came across your channel and love love love you. I truly believe we would be best of friends if we lived closer. Your look reminds me of my sister Maryann. I had a mini farm back home with chickens, goats, horses, geese, ducks, cats and dogs. Ya, I know lots of mouths. You are a great encouragement to me to try new dish and always look forward to seeing your next video. May God richly bless your family and farm.
I plan to make these for Thanksgiving. They look so good. I have a question. Do you think if I substitute butter for the vegetable oil and the Crisco that the rolls would be the same?
I have never made yeast rolls or any homemade bread. So my percentage of success was low to nothing. I will tell you that I was successful!!!! Super risen and fluffy. My adult boys couldn’t believe it😂
