Better to form a separate south Indian country

The populous states have failed to elect responsible leaders. Giving them more power to determine national policies would be like giving the future of the country into the hands of bad decision-makers. Why are the champions of meritocracy silent on this topic?

Delimitation should continue, South India followed the guidelines set by Central Govt while Noth and other parts country did not. Why the one of follows the rules get less representativon. South India will definitely protest this move.

All states must be given equal strength in Lok Sabha. Increasing the strength of Lok Sabha will dilute the significance of already insignificant northern India. Without an equal voice at national polity, the southern people will be left at the mercy of Hindi Belt which is known for its politics of hate, crime and corruption. South Indians must wake up and realise the threat they are going to face, We are going to become the minority other in our own country. Lets ensure Delimitation doesn't take place through 2024 election

Why not make a point based system which considers population, area, contribution to GDP, percentage of tax payers etc? Too complicated?

Bjp couldn't do a proper delimitation in Bengaluru corporation , deliberately they delayed corporation election since September 2020 and here they are talking about delimitation of India

More reason to keep the federal structure intact

Delimitation is good for democracy It cannot be based on southern india or western India's perceived dis advantage This is needed for better administration and development the northern states are really badly administered

They should consider southern states well or They should divide the country financially or The country should be divided totally (This is the least thing we want to happen😷🤕🤥)

Equal representation from north and south.actuslly we should have only 2 mp in each state.

As in any other field an MP or MLA should know more than one language as our country is as vast as a contitinent.

Education should also be a criteria for seats rather than area or population like lowest educational state should not give more seats than the developed states.

"If it is based on population" so it means this is just speculation. Brilliant as fuelling discord as usual between Southern states and rest of India. Using conjecture, bias and speculative language to subtly stoke fears in the Southern states. No one knows yet concretely how things would take place but beforehand they are fear mongering. Same strategy for CAA and farm laws was used. No census has even taken place. Last one was 2011 and the pandemic further delayed the excercise. Let's see how and when it happens and it's actual figures.

Some people demand reservation according to their cast population.congress pary support it also agreed to increase reservation if they win they give slogan of jitni avadi utna Hak means people of all cast should have same percent of wealth as their cast percent in population so by this logic it why should north should be given more seats.

one thing i find funny is that the seats were froze to control population and now the government is gonna allocate seats based on population lol

The thing is simple: 1) for effective function of governance seats must increase . 2)If an MP has excessive amount of voters he/she might misuse that power or he/she might give ineffective results unequivocally ,hence his/her power must be curtailed. 3)since north is huge and there's a huge population it will get a bit more benefits than south since this is the motto of democracy and socialism . But it certainly doesn't mean that south power will get reduced since most of the official power is under the southern people . So, the thing is obvious yet people r trying to instigate some not so liberal ideas which r based on equality ... The new parliament is necessary to bring new reforms just like India asks UN to bring reforms . It is funny how Some so-called intellects preaches democracy yet gates it when it doesn't fulfill their agenda.. Recently Patharkang and Nilambari constituency were merged as the population was few in a northern state which was right.

Compare to Karnataka small state TN enjoying more seats in Loksabha. Territory and population taking into account for Loksabha seat determination

We have controlled our population as per our old policy by Indira Gandhi and north still hasn't meet any of these yet gaining in terms of tax, seats, political presence and everything. Hight time to address this issue otherwise split the country so that is better governed and represented.
