Hey everyone, sorry I've been away, things have been busy on my end but I finally found time to edit this video. It sure is a long one but I hope you enjoy it!
Hey fellow dt175 fan your vids are fun, I have a 79. Any chance you want to sell the red front fender off your parts bike?...I live in BC. Also I was curious what type of gasket you used for where the exhaust attaches to the engine?, mine has none and seems to leak and be louder than I feel it should...thanks happy riding
I enjoy your vids 👍 I’ve got a ‘78 DT175 and a ‘78 XL175. What kind of inline fuel filter is that? I’ve heard the average ones aren’t good for the mixed gas/oil.
Hey man! Thanks for checking out the videos :) That's awesome, what color DT? The fuel filter I got from a harbor freight esque store, it's for lawnmowers as far as I know. Seems to be working out well so far! First one I found that has decent flow
Kosmoto thanks for the reply. I’ve got the sunshine red DT. My dad bought it in ‘78 with just 50 miles on it. It’s sat for over 20 years so I’m working on getting it back into shape.
hey man, was wondering what kind of handlebars you got on that thing. Also was wondering how complicated it was to hook up that digital gauge. saw a cheap "tusk" brand one that had speedo and tach and was thinking about switching over
Hey man! Unfortunately not yet...just around the neighborhood haha. I picked up an MX175 for my buddy and have been working on getting that going. Been pretty busy with work otherwise so hard to get a ride in...soon though!
@Kosmoto First off, a kick start lever, oil change, and basic maintenance. Then I’ll see where to go from there. I’ve neglected it for years. It’s been stored out at my folks farm. I need to apply for a lost title also.
Nick Carr Not yet! Just a Big One silencer on it right now. The ported engine I was talking about in the end is gonna have a 28-32mm carb (24 is stock) and either the Big One chamber or a pipe from Colombia.
