I was in Ireland then. I'm American, Father Ted was huge. I came home to find out I'd just missed my highschool "friend" Matt Le Blanc @ a bar who had just secured the one million per episode. He played Joey in other shows that sucked I totally didn't get it.but we did see a limo outside his mom's house. Everyone was saying they met Matthew Perry. I was like who? What? It was Thanksgiving time

@@johnnyr2646 not really because he died. It was huge by then in Europe like many bands that didn't crossover like Take That. It was also a time of huge controversy in the Church. I doubt American Priests would have been amused. Also it's a BBC production not RTE. His death was tragic but never the reason the program was late to America. When it came out I didn't have cable. Our TV finished after The Nanny around midnight, if not 11:30 with the national anthem then snow on the screen.

Those women should be ashamed of themselves for having sex with a stranger without thinking of the consequences of their actions such as premarital infants. That is just irresponsible.

I will be forever grateful to my Uncle Dana for introducing me to this program. I always loved British comedies, but this one is Head and shoulders above the rest.
