My husband thinks that I have become a little bit obsessed with your show. But I can’t help it. This is my morning coffee and I do t drink coffee. Thanks so much for sharing your family , plants and knowledge. You are an amazing young lady.
My Momma worked in the care giving living facilities for 40 years. So naturally she volunteered me for anything and everything going on. I loved it! Wonderful fun memories for sure. I can tell you from experience that not only will the residents benefit from your thoughtfulness , but so will the employees. The employees get attached to the residents and they become family. So much neglect can happen for the residents from their blood family's. So many are stuck in a facility and often forgotten about. Things like what you all do is so uplifting to them all. You made my heart feel full with your kind gesture and I wanted you to know how thankful people are, not even there around you, that you do such wonderful things like this. God bless you one and all for having such giving hearts. ❤
Was wondering if you ever have thought of taking your buckets to the center and with the help of staff assist residents in making their own bouquets? There have to be some former garden lovers that might enjoy that tremendously
The editing of this video with Laura's grunting sounds labeled on the screen while tilling was so funny to me😂 You go girl!! Reminds me of when I'm mowing difficult areas of my lawn
Laura, I absolutely love your channel!!! You have the best-balanced content. I can hardly wait every day to see what is in store for the day. I love your gardens and your projects but days like this with your children and mom doing such wonderful things as sharing your beautiful harvest of flowers with those who are shut in and can no longer enjoy the beauty of getting out and gardening themselves! Such a wonderful thing you are also teaching your precious children. Watching you and your mom really shows "the apple really doesn't fall far from the tree."💕💕 Again i say this every time, your family and values remind me so much of the times I had with my mom. Memories I cherish so much!!! You and your family help reignite those memories and make them feel so fresh. My mom passed at 47 and it has now been 33 years. Thank you for this gift you share with your family!!! To me it is truly a ministry as well!!
Not making fun, I promise😊 one rock in the whole row. Here in NW Arkansas we have more rock than soil, I can’t imagine only having fluffy soil to plant in. So glorious❤
It's funny around here. One lot will be sandy loam with no rocks, the next will be full of lava rock or river rock. Even within my 5 acres we find different rock zones.
I take care of an 82 year old woman with dementia. I keep her pot out front full of flowers and she absolutely loves it. The only drawback was I bought us both pansies and filled her pot and mine. The next day I returned to find hers were gone from the Deer. Now I'm going to put marigolds in there as they continue to bloom, and the Deer do not like them. What you are doing us so, so kind! I find that the older folks really love the simple things in life! Your bouquets are gorgeous! If I had a cut garden (and I might if my wild flowers bloom, I might!), Donna would love a bouquet weekly! Everything is in bloom and the pollen is everywhere here in Maryland! Thank you for your videos! I'm enjoying this with my coffee. 🎉❣️🌻🌼⚘️🥀
Such a beautiful gift you are giving the residents at Well Springs! I know they enjoy receiving as much as you enjoy giving! My mom lived in an assisted living community and I used to "teach" a flower design class every month... I loved that so much. I have so many jars that I have recycled that I wish I could donate to you♡
It is not the first time I cry looking at the beauty of the flowers on your videos, but today you got me when you said you wanted to bring bouquets to the care house as often as possible. God bless you Laura
Laura, Susan, Benjamin and Samantha: You should be proud of yourselves for your generous flower contributions to the elderly. This will brighten the day for so many. It really makes everyone feel cheerful. Thank you for remembering the elderly and disabled. Great job on teaching your kids to give back.
Oh! Laura, God Bless You for sharing your flowers with the elderly community. I know how much that act of kindness means to each resident. They feel loved and appreciated, and that’s so wonderful! I was so excited when I heard you say,”My Mom is here.” She makes every video just so much sweeter! And Mr. Benjamin is growing up right before our eyes! Mr. Benjamin, I too need to be reminded of almost everything, but that’s ok, at least we have good minds the Lord blessed us with, and He helps us. I love this video, I’m wondering how Samantha got her boo boo above her eye? It must’ve been scary to see that injury, Laura. It looks like it’s heading wonderfully! Please have a wonderful day! (Today is Tuesday, the 23rd.) 🪴
Laura and Mom, you ladies are a perfect example in how The Good Lord uses us … I just want to thank you for doing what you enjoy while bring joy to so many people God Bless You Both 🙏❤
Just a suggestion Laura, you might even consider just offering the flowers to the assisted living and perhaps they can have some of their residents do the arranging? I know I would love that as an activity.
Sharing your abundance with the community is so kind of you an your family. I know you give away some of your vegetables also. Taking the time out of what I know is a very tight schedule, especially this time of year. You an your whole family are just amazing. Loved your channel from day one. I re-watch a lot of your older videos. Always learning something and find plants i probably would have looked over but seeing them incorporated with other plants just go so well together. Cora Bells for one. I now grow them amongst my hostas. Both shade loving and an added touch of much needed color. Plus your container recipes I copy but not all on such a large scale. But still they are beautiful an I get so many compliments. Always take time to watch your videos on Facebook sharing with my friends, who now have gotten hooked. There aren't many things worth watching these days,so refreshing to have morning coffee with Garden Answer. It's a happy place to be.
So nice of you to do this for the seniors, I worked at an old folks home for years, and another idea is to just drop off the buckets of flowers and let recreational worker have the seniors make their own bouquets, that would make a great activity! You are the best! 🌷🌷🌷
YES! When I worked as an Occupational Therapist in a mental health hospital, we got flowers donated from a couple of different sources. We structured the group so each participant could succeed. Everyone's day seemed brighter on the day we arranged flowers! Including the staff!
@juliehorney995 absolutely! I'm sure most are retired gardeners at this point so giving them a few flowers to arrange would be a fun fun activity for the ones who would like to participate, i know they would just love it! Have a beautiful day! 🌷🌷🌷
It looks so good. Wow, look at Laura go with the tiller. It really does fluff up the soil. Nice. That is so sweet Laura to take the seniors some beautiful flowers to brighten up their day. Well Benjamin is ready to go to help you plant potatoes. Have a wonderful day guys.
Long time viewer! I love watching every morning. Question, would you ever consider making a few videos that are more of a “day in the life” style? I know you all film a lot and put out a lot of great material but it would be super awesome to see from start to finish what a day looks like. You all get so much done and it would be cool to understand how much time working in the garden you do each day. When watching the videos I sometimes feel like you get so much done in a video and it’s still bright out so I know you probably get way more done behind the scenes that we never get to see. I love your content and look forward to all the upcoming projects!
Being a nurse this is the most thoughtful thing. Your such a beautiful Angel. Also, your Mom and Monica too. Oh, we can’t leave out that precious little Samantha Grace ❤❤❤❤
Watching your videos is still my FAVORITE part of the day!!! ❤😊🎉 Coffee and GA! 🎉😂 Thank you so much for bringing me along with you, I have learned so much! Now, what’s a roley Poley vs a slug?
@mrsbongiovanni31 A slug looks like a snail without a shell. A roly poly looks like a tiny caterpillar with a shell that reminds me of armadillo armor. When you touch them they roll into a ball. They are also called pill bugs.
What a great reminder that the residents enjoy beautiful flowers as well. What a wonderful way for them to enjoy the beauty of your garden. Thank you for sharing with the elder community!
Hahaha! Oh my, you and the editing made me cackle out loud. I’ve been watching for years now and the editing has become chef’s kiss! The “huahh” now and the cough (and smoke” from the rosemary tincture video, epic! Thanks for educating us and sharing your passions for the garden, and nature!
Benjamin is so cute wanting to get up to help you. Beautiful flower bouquets you took to the care center. You help brighten their day more than you know. Keep having fun with your new toy! Glad Aaron tried it out first, so he could give you tips. Till tomorrow......pun intended...lol
I love how you just jump into something new, like using the brand new tiller, without a lot of toiling over instructions and such. You are a natural at everything ‼️😍🥰💥 Thanks for showing us your learning processes. It really makes your videos extra special and authentic. And it's so great to see your beautiful flowers being used for such a special reason, to brighten the days of elderly people who really need it. I concur with many in the comment section, that they probably would really love to put together their own bouquets. I'm betting some of them could teach others there how to do it as they once had gardens as well. Also, so happy to see Douglas .... seems like it's been a while ! 😸 And I get a huge kick out of seeing Samantha wearing two different shoes LOL 🤩 ☺️ She's your artist FOR SURE ‼️ GO SAMANTHA ‼️🙌💕‼️
The way Samantha wears different shoes is so cute.makes me think of the story of pipi long stockings. You should read it to her it is a cute story about being different is fun.😊❤
What a blessing you, Aaron, your mom and kids are to your community. I know the beautiful bouquets you made for the citizen of the assisted living center, made their day brighter.
I just love that Samantha loves wearing 2 different shoes! A fashion icon! Are the pink flowers behind you guys the geraniums that you started from seed?
Love your new machine. Looks like hard work using that. The flowers are beautiful and will bring some joy into those sweet seniors' day. Have a blessed day everyone.
WOWZERS you Rangled the Rototiller One Handed. VERY IMPRESSIVE!!! I would have avoided trying a Machine like that but you made it look so easy, it did the work and really dug in. I'm blown away!
I used to work in an assisted living in activities and it was so much fun. I highly suggest you bring the children and we used to have children come in and they would bring a flower to each one of the residents while they were sitting around and it was just a lovely time. Also, you can have the residents there help you put together bouquets it's very rewarding for them i
Taylor, you are awesome!!!! The music 🎶 & editing were soooo good today! Everyone is saying how wonderful today's video is in the comments. You nailed it and I couldn't be happier 🤗🌱🥰💖🌞🎉
Oh Laura I love the look on your face when the tiller was jumping. Kind of scary when that happens. Love watching your channel. Have learned so much. I just wanted to say how much I love your servant heart & giving away beautiful bouquets to a community of people who need some sunshine in their lives. 💕 thank you for doing that for your community.
Loving the sun flare transition between shots :) Seems like the new editor is settling nicely into a good feel for the channel with the little funny captions and all. Love it!
It made me feel joyful when you picked the tulips and daffodils, then made flower arrangements for the assisted living center. I love how you involved your children. Teaching generous spirit by example. I also love how you shared the progress of the vegetable garden and the prep for planting potatoes. Watching you and your family soothes my spirit.
I absolutely second that last comment! Your channel is a nice bright spot in my day and I always learn something and am left with a smile on my face 😊 No video is complete without a cat popping in for a pet! I was absolutely stuck by how everything is suddenly just exploding with fresh greens and flowers in your gardens! Spring is just amazing to me, when everything starts to break dormancy! So fun and fresh 😊
My best friend is in a rehab facility; the thought of beautiful flowers being brought in is just so wonderful. Many very lonely people in these places. Your gifts are pure good and kindness.
I so needed the laugh during the rototiller segment after a stressful day! Thanks for being so real Laura and making us feel so good as we embrace this wonderful world of gardening with you. God Bless.
Your little ones are so sweet. I love how your cats follow you everywhere also. So cool to watch. I am sorry but you were my laugh for the day. The rototiller scene cracked me up. Glad you weren't hurt.
Thank you for talking about how to deal with pests! I'm a newbie gardener trying to plant veggies for my second year. Last year I came across the tomato hornworm and that was the last of my veggie garden for 2023. 😂 Just planted jalepenos, bell pepper and tomato in containers. I added a netting to each pot and am armed with neem oil and BT. I welcome any more commentary about pests. Thanks again!
I have *a lot* of different foxgloves (and aconites) in my borders and they usually share their space with forest strawberries - and so far no one has gotten sick by eating the strawberries. It never occured to me to worry about that, but I don't think there is a chance for the toxin to pass into the strawberry roots, even if it would survive in the soil - because digitoxin is no water soluable.
I love how you thought through where you wanted to put the potatoes, it shows that we need to be flexible with our approach. It made me smile that the boys had to play with the tiller.😊
Awesome video, how sweet was that to pick all the tulips and daffodils and put them in jars of water and take them to the assisted living. They are going to enjoy them so very much. Laura you and your mom and all your family are so very sweet and giving. Sweet Benjamin and sweet little Samantha Grace really helped. Everything else looks amazing, your raised beds and the tutor patch. Love your new garden tiller.😊
I just love you taking the flowers to the assisted living!!! I think I will also share my flowers with them here in my little area. Great idea!!! Benjamin, I have a hard time remembering things too😉 Love your channel and your knowledge you share with us, keep up the great work
I love the new tiller. You crack me up. I'm sorry but the moment you hit that rock it made me giggle. I love the bouquets. Your mom's the best. Little B (ya right) cracked me up. Sooo awesome the strawberries are baring fruit. Wow. Ooohhh ya make my morning miss Laura. See you in the next one.. Have a blessed day everyone. 💜💜🌿🌿🌿💙💙💙☕☕☕☕
All of you're tulips and daffodils are beautiful. Especially the ones your mom picked for herself. The yellows and peaches. You have made the ppl at the assisted living happy.
I gasped at some of the shots of the rows of flowers! What a beautiful site. Lovely to see your Mom working alongside of you and the kids. What a nice gesture for you to share all the bouquets-I’m sure they brightened everyone’s day!
I love where the black bench ended up in the west garden Looks comfy! Expert with tiller, neat trick walking beside it. Longer legs, maybe? Nice days work !
If you bring the flowers to the care centre and make the bouquets there, I’m sure a lot of the seniors would love to make their own. Would new a great project for them. ❤
Lolol ... "SHAME!!!" to the roly-poly bugs on the cabbage. "HYAAW!!!" to a dastardly huge earth clump battling with the tiller. The infectious exhuberance of Laura!!! :)
This past sunday i was able to get in the garden and get somes pea and carrot seeds planted some onion starts since mine died 🤷. I was so happy to get my garden started. I love spring and summer ❤❤❤
Don't you wish that the chores that Laura does takes as long as the sped up videos IRL? I know she's working for hours, but the videos make it look much easier. 😁 Everything looks great and how nice that the nursing home will receive such beautiful tulip arrangements! That will brighten up their day!
I need reminders to Benjamin! One of the many reasons I watch you, Laura. Your planting season is a little bit ahead of mine here in Michigan, so I appreciate getting reminders from you few weeks ahead of time!
😂 Benjamin “I’m bad at remembering!” .. Sorry dude, not one of us believes that!! ❤ sweet boy Samantha cute as always! Love all of those tulip bouquets! 💐 Laura, see the south garden does have rocks, so it is natural to place rocks/boulder now.. lol You know I am just messing with you!!😊❤ thank you for sharing.
