It is amazing how much you can think you know after years of RVing and then one simple change has you feeling like you are right back on “RV Newbie” status! Join us as we spend some time learning how to Airstream and figuring out how this Airstream Globetrotter 30rb model will work for us after 5 years of RVing in a fifth wheel. We also share the new reservation system with you for Parks Canada in 2023. Sometimes making reservations in very popular areas and National Parks can feel a bit like trying to win a lottery. Know before you go is always a good idea when RVing!! Thank you to @AirstreamofDFW for making this process so doable for us!

if you guys are going up to either moraine or Meline lake in Banff you can't park @ one or the other (don't remember which). they have shuttle buses that will take you from the Lake Louise ski area parking lot to the lake. the parking @ the lakes has always been too small for the volume of people wanting to see those beauty spots.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing that! We did find that out and reserved our shuttle a few weeks back but we are certain there are going to be a lot of disappointed folks this year. Very important for people to know so we thank you!

@@lifebetweentheditches1307 they are also limiting RV length to at or below 29' 11". Looks like your Airstream Globetrotter 30RB is an inch too long. 🤣 j/k. Looking forward to seeing it in action!! :)

Love how the truck color matches the AS. That is our dream someday. Probably a 27FB because we really like the 'hatch'. Enjoy the trip to BC. We were there last summer and had a great time. Especially loved Jasper. Tons of great hikes. Be sure to stop by the Fairmont Lodge for a drink on the deck overlooking the lake.

Thank you for the recommendation! We love suggestions!!! We had to laugh about the truck matching the RV. Jim has spent years wishing our truck and RV were coordinating and he finally got lucky with that!!

Parks Canada! Ha! As soon as you are on, select and save, your campsite is all reserved! Everybody in Canada? I guess! Banff: most researched and desired…but the best! Great travel plans guys! We’ll be looking out for you ;-) No worries, we won’t bother you! Enjoy BC!

Jasper is so beautiful!!!! We can’t wait to explore more of Canada 🇨🇦 this summer! We think the people are so lovely because they are surrounded by such beauty all the time!

16 hours is a long drive to get an camper, no matter the brand make and model. Was the price that good. Just curious, because we’re looking at an International here where we live in the Panhandle of Florida. Maybe we should drive to Texas also. Please share your reasoning and thoughts. We’re total newbies to RV’ing

Definitely shop the deal! The difference for us was around $6000 when you include the lithium batteries DFW included. It has been our experience that any given dealer may have the better deal on any given day, regardless the brand. We walked away from a Grand Design 20 minutes from our house for one that was 1 hour from our house and it was a $3000 difference. We shopped our Airstream through 6 dealers. Make sure to look at the deal as a whole. What all is included. Any dealer or prep fees? Etc. Good luck and enjoy the process!

Just curious why you drove from Charlotte to Dallas for the Airstream, did you consider the Airstream dealerships in NC or SC?

We considered several dealers (including NC/SC). None of the dealers in close proximity to us had the model/color we wanted. We narrowed it down to 3 or 4 that had the exact model we wanted in stock and then negotiated with each of them. Airstream of DFW gave us the best overall deal and included lithium batteries so best deal on top of customer service won them our business. The sales people at 2 of the other dealers were also very professional and 1 was just a train wreck.
