OK, I was right on the cusp of purchasing an Airstream, so when I came across your videos it COMPLETELY changed my mind! Not paying $150K to 200K for THOSE problems.
I just found your channel and watched this video. LOVED IT! I laughed so hard I cried. Your communication is just like my wife's and I. We both feel we communicate so clearly but the other hears something completely different. Thank you!
All veterans in the flathead Valley. There is a vet store anyone can donate to. There arefree services for them in kalispell mt. About 12 miles from lakeside. Money donated to the veterans organization in mt. The money stays in Montana to help them. Thanks for visiting our great state. We love our vets.
We had a Bambi 20FB and changing those sheets was a nightmare. Now we're in a Classic 30RBQ and while there's definitely less storage, the bed is phenomenal. We've always been "all in" for Airstreams. Great video.
We have more love in our lives than we would have ever thought to hope for and we’ve spent 7 summers traveling the continent with our fur babies. We ARE spoiled brats! 100% God help those that doesn’t realize they are as well.
Went to take the family Camping on our yearly adventure , Only to get to the the Lake and be turned around because of new legislation in BC. Now need to make online reservations months in advance,Good luck with that. BUT if your a Islamic Arabic Muslim The BC parks are now FREE at your disposal on any given weekend and Mondays no reservation required. You are now priority and us Canadians are benched.
Make sure you use lock tied on the screw. It should solve your problems. I use it on my boat, car, motorcycle and guns. Never lost a screw or had come undone under extreme vibration or extreme heat!
We really appreciate that!!! We are well but spending the summer with an aging parent transition. It’s been very odd to be home this summer ( AND HOT) !🥵
Check for debris in the flexible water line before the water pump. I had plastic shavings from the water tank install. Also check the in let screen on the back of the water heater.
We have nothing good to say about any service department at any dealer of any RV we’ve ever owned. Ever. EXCEPT for the factory service team at Airstream. They went above and beyond and blew us away. It is a shame dealer service departments are so untrustworthy. 😞
Have to agree about how bad the Vancouver traffic is. Population has grown significantly and in their wisdom city leaders have reduced the roads by putting up a bunch of bike lanes. Probably one of the most anti car city in Canada. Even when you are on a motorcycle it is a frustrating city to get around but we get to live in an incredibly beautiful place sooo…..
We bought ours at Petsmart. We’ve used them for years and they hold up beautifully. The only one that ever broke was because small gravel got jammed in it. These ramps are lifesavers for us!!
Nice candid and frank video y'all. Nice work! We have owned a 2018 27FB for four years and love it. They are quirky but that is also part of the uniqueness of owning one. Safe travels!!
Not an airstream owner (yet). Am looking to buy an old one so I can fit it out the way I want. Is there a way to build your own bed in the back into a queen or king? I’ve seen some beds with amazing storage solutions
We have seen some incredible customizations in Airstreams and there are some social media accounts dedicated to sharing mods. We actually loved having the twin beds! The floor space straight down the RV really helps it feel more open.
@@lifebetweentheditches1307 I’m 6ft 4inch tall. My wife and I probably couldn’t sleep in separate beds…and actually get a good nights sleep. It’s like how you have a side of the bed you sleep in….now sleep on the other side and get a restful nights sleep. Not going to happen. Need a queen or better yet a king. I think I’ve watched every RU-vid video on airstreams lol.
Glad AS stepped up. Just a suggestion. I always connect the water pressure regulator on the spicket, then the water filter, then the hose to the city water connection on the rig. That filter has too much weight on the connection even with the L shape thingy...just found your channel and your videos are very relatable.
Do you think it’s necessary to put that plastic thing underneath the tongue jack what if it slide out ?It happened once on me , hurt my feet very very badly
We just noticed that ours has a crack on the skin behind the same bracket on starboard side. Ours is out of warranty, so I’m going to attempt to fix with a thicker piece of aluminum and rivet it. I also believe I need to drill a hole at the top of the crack to keep it from spreading. I think Mark and Trish @KeepYourDaydream had the same issue on their 30 flying cloud bunk. Sorry to hear that happened to you, that sucks! Yet I’m glad to know we are not alone in this misery 😅
Thanks for the video, The wife and I are retired and will be hosting at a campground just outside of Yellowstone for four months starting in May this year. We will be living in our new to us 2005 Classic 28'. Really looking forward to it! Happy trails!
@@lifebetweentheditches1307 We meet new and interesting people everyday. Some we have shared contact information with and hope to see them again in the future. Hearing where people are from, their history and their future plans are very interesting to say the least. Work is not difficult and can be rewarding seeing fellow campers enjoying what you have provided for them during the short while they are visiting.
We are sooooo glad that Airstream agreed to make it right!! We are about to pick up our very first RV (an Airstream) so that fills us with confidence that we made the right decision. The fact that you guys keep such a positive attitude through all the dips in the road is truly commendable. We hope to see y’all on the road someday. We are fellow North Carolinians. 😊
For the segment protector pulling the center support out, you need to consider the airflow over the segment protectors. We have a Classic 33 and tow with a HD pickup. Our truck has a bed topper and we run Rock Tamers on our truck. Both of these devices (the Rock Tamers & truck cap) change the airflow that hits the trailer. We also use a ProPride hitch which moves the trailer away from the truck by almost a foot - which also changes the airflow over the segment protectors. I notice your truck doesn’t have a truck cap and may not have Rock Tamers. To solve your problem long term, you need to change the airflow over the segment protectors somehow. They are running in disturbed air - which causes the shaking you’re seeing. So, adding big Rock Tamer mud flaps, some sort of air dam of the type you see in big trucks, or a truck cap would be enough to change the airflow so that you shouldn’t see the shaking of the segment protectors due to running in disturbed air.
