I use this laptop at work for 8 hours a day connected to an external monitor and is small enough to easily carry around but very sturdy. Great keyboard/touchpad and charges fast.
The i5-8365U is a very underrated processor in terms of benchmarks and performance. Also, check out the 5401 and 5501. They have workstation processors. You can also configure a graphics card in those from the factory. Very similar chassis to the 5400.
I picked this i5/8gb over latitude 7300 and thinkpad T490... is that a wise choice? The 7300 heats, no heat outlet and the thinkpad's offers weren't that Good, i picked this one barely used for 750usd... would you do the same ?
It is very stupid that keyboards, mouse pad are not friendly which is as important part, because we use it most. some body likes it and they give both pointing, actually need one. and you mistake and order dual pointing is something to use with 2 fingers but you get different that you don't need at all. home and end buttons put it in top, crazy to reach it till there. They should have kept it along arrow keys like its predecessor 5490. some one decide keyboard design for us !!! which vary from person to person. Why have not they given option of selecting keyboard layout while buying !!
Wow nice video! But don't mind my rant I think it's crazy how dell just sells garbage still! Like now a days people like quality products! Further more I'm sure there are lots of uneducated consumers buying there laptops! I'd avoid dell and hp! You could spend 800+ dollars! You'd be down a laptop a year later! Slow bloat ware etc! Ergonomics as you say are trash in the video! Dell always does that! I would never spend my hard earned money on these brands!
