You got it cheap, 😀It's a nice computer for its age. I have an E6410 14" same specs as yours, upgraded bios to A17, 8Gb memory 1067MHz, and an ssd disk, works fine with Win 10. 😀
I still use my E6410, almost daily, nearly 14 years later.. this relic has gotten me through web design out of high school, and seen me through PLC programming up until a couple years ago. Same upgrades as yours plus an i7, WiFi 6 + Bluetooth card and extended battery. It runs surprisingly well (for its age) on Win10 and is even snappier on Ubuntu. Extended battery lasts quite a while if you use Ubuntu too.
The build quality of these laptops are unmatched. I have one with i7 and nvdia chips. Upgraded to a cheap 120 gb ssd switched cd rom for hdd caddy and add 2tb hdd.ram to 8gb .and it Still works fine😅
Got this exact model for 25€ but with the i5-560m and 2gb of ddr3. Got another 2gb stick locally (for free) and an ssd. Also had to replace the battery. Love how modular it is. Sold it for 75€
Why have you chosen Win7 on DVD instead of newer Windows on USB flash? I've installed Win11 on the elder Dell Inspiron 1525 win Core 2 Duo inside (T5750 in stock, I replaced this with T8300), and it work pretty well on 4 Gb RAM and (yeah) SSD. I need no drivers installation, windows update did all the job for me. I have to mention, that Windows contained no WinDefender software, it is really heavy for this hardware.
I found that tiny11 worked but was stuttering, opening explorer you sometimes have to wait for the window to render. Unsure if that’s because of the hacked down version of windows I tried or if grandpa is getting a little too old these days for modern software 😆
