I have an R610 and I've really been enjoying your videos! I'm interested in understanding ZFS more with ProxMox. How do I know if my raid controller will work with ZFS or if I need to get a different controller? Why can't certain controllers pass the HDD's to the software for ZFS use? Please do a video specifically for ZFS, ProxMox and the R610, as I felt that this video too briefly touched on it. Thank you and I'll look forward to more of your videos!

I've pulled my optical drive out and replaced it with an SSD also but my server will not boot to Proxmox on the SSD. It will install Proxmox on the SSD but it fails on boot with ever attempt. I'm hoping its something as simple as a BIOS setting. Do you have any guidance that you can share? My error is: kernel panic unable to mount root fs on unknown block 0,0

This is the ebay store that I bought the server and ram from www.ebay.com/usr/emergentsx the ram is Kingston and it has a bunch of numbers on the sticker that I have no idea what they mean, but I will list them for you. 9965516-069.AOOLF 0000005861992 X5L9Q-C93U7R-7WOPD KTH-PL313/8G 1.5V Hope this helps

we are upgrading our server just got 128gb of ram another 64 to go then 4 ssd and windows to install this will be for the kids gamer we also have new processors to put in too we went with 3.6ghz (6) but should have went with the 3.46 to get the 6core but it will do for now. then two gpu's
