Hello there I'm looking to put an Nvidia Gforce 980 TI on this machine, and my questions is does it support it. I have the same precision T7810 that I been trying to upgrade little by little. thx...
Also wondering what cable this is (looks like its from a modular power supply but the connection on the Dell board is PCIe 8 pin not EPS-12V which is what most modular power supplies come with.
Yes. I have the same question. It seems like the cable we should be looking for is a PCIe 8 pin to 2x PCIe 8 pin connections. Not quite sure where to get ahold of that
There are 2 8 pins behind the mother board that I had to fish out. At least with the 1300 watt PSU. What software are you using to SLI the cards without a SLI motherboard?
I have a T7400 with dual core xeon x5472 @3.0 Ghz with 8 Gb DDR2 fully-buffered ram and a 1000 watt PSU. Would you recommend a GTX 970 or an RX 470 for 1080p gaming?
Hey man can you show a picture of the SLI being enabled on windows? Because I haven't been able to verify of anyone actually getting SLI to work on these Precision Workstations. Please please help me. Thanks. You're videos are very helpful and awesome. Thanks
I install a GTX1060 in a T5810 (685W PSU) using a Seasonic G-650 PCIE cable (8-pin to 2 x 2+6) and it works fine - My Corsair RM1000 cable doesn't fit. You can tell because the connections are different. Hope it helps someone :)
