Love Neil's videos. My understanding is the 7810 and 7910 can support v4 Xeons under the correct board revision.

great thanks for the info. i planning of building a dual cpu for CAD work. I dont know if i should go with the ASUS Z10 PA D8 or go with a DELL T7910. Im still looking at the Asus MD, but dont know much about the DELL MD, or if both are more of less the same.

The ASUS is a good board for Dual Processing. I would advise caution with a build , if you are not confident though. If something doesn't work quite right or fails you really have to know what you're doing. A big positive of the Dell systems is the 3 year warranty we take as a minimum on the Precision range. It is an onsite warranty that Dell do. Actually having someone come to your home or business and fix the machine after a hardware fail is a big feature.

The ASUS ZE PA D8 sounds like its gaming friendly if im not mistake. if it is true, what makes it gaming friendly compared to a DELL dual mb. Is it that its compatible with gaming ram? or might have other features that are void in workstation boards?

On Google the Asus board reads as a Dual socket server board. It has loads of input / connections but is aimed at fitting in a smaller case. It is more of an ATX case size.I am not that familiar with the board itself that I can comment on it in direct comparison to the Dell board. But they do a similar job. The Dell boards are CAD workstation based though and the Asus is for server. The thing to check on the ASUS board is that it is the suitable chipset for playing the games you wish to play on it. You can Google the specs and some good reviews on the Asus and Dell systems too.
