Thank you! Well done. Just a tad bit sad we couldn't see the runs but you made up for it, by showing us the data. Thanks again and I hope you keep it up. Sincerely, Alicia from Sweden.
I have the 19mm Chinese clone. It works perfect on a setup for a Piaggio ZIP 2 stroke. 70cc DR and a LeoVince Touring exhaust. It runs really well. Didnt even have to change the main jet. The downside for me is that the oilmixture inlet is on the wrong side.
I gotta question I got a Piaggio 50cc I think it’s stock but I can’t seem to get it to accelerate it dyes out under load and I cleaned carb and checked everything but I’m thinking it’s me intake manifold idk if the dude had a stock one or not but can someone give me a link or some advice for me here I can get one that doesn’t hit my frame
Needle jet inner diameter is critical and so its good to know they are different sized. You said the clone was .07mm smaller which would make it 2.55mm instead of the correct 2.62mm. So if anyone buys such a clone now you know to also buy the right atomizer. Why he made out like such a small difference isn't important, I don't know. Because it is very important. The distance between the needle jet and the needle affects idle and the 1st half of slide opening.
I bought a clone few weeks ago. And the bike runs fine until it completely makes out on rpms then it just dies. Right after that I took the spark plug out and it was completely dry. Would you think that could be a carb problem not getting enough fuel in at the top end? or could it be electrics. It does this in every gear and even in neutral in sometimes I don't even need to go full throttle. I thinking it's float problem and I'd like to try fixing this clone before spending 100€ on genuine dellorto carb. Do you know by any change how should the float be set up on the phbg 21mm carb. Also is the little disc between the main jet and atomiser needed or should I throw it out.
very thorough comparison! tysm. I'm now not worried about buying a clone PHGB to save money but I do think I would run paint stripper in the bowl area bcs I don't need flakes of paint running wild in my engine.
EXCELLENT, you don't have a script and so ummming is normal . The black paint inside stays put but plenty of junk from new in my 3 copies . They don't sell idle jets or choke jets and all slides are numbered 50, but cut away areas differ so for tuning go genuine except main jet kits they sell. Well worth it but things like mixture screw and thread easily fail spring pressures but then consider it's now affordability . Cheers
The one at the back straight to mani is for vac line depending on fuel tap buddy the 2t line goes to the smaller one normally on the slide of the throttle slide / near the top of the carb the fat on we can see near air intake side is fuel/petrol
