I purchased this product from Costco, the 700 sq ft model & it cools my entire 625 sq ft nyc apt. There is a drain spout on the bottom behind the unit. The exhaust hose could be longer, other than that...great product. 5 🌟!

Just extend your exhaust hose. Don’t go beyond 12 feet.

I purchased this POS about 2 years ago. I thought that it would be great for my workshop. Standing in front of the unit, you could feel the cool air blowing out of it. Move left or right and it was still hot in the room. I didn't want to cut a hole in my workshop for a window unit but I had to because of the Total Lack of Efficiency with the DeLonghi. This AC is like a vacuum cleaner-No Loss of Suction!

There are some pro & cons with this unit but overall...its great.... Especially when your 🔥...now... Your going to need the silver wrap isolation it's $10.00 wrap from lowes/ the tube to me it gets to hot... 3M 2.5 dryer foil tape it's about $4 roll at your local Lowe's. I put mine up on a miniature table I made from the walmart ...drainage I have an old ice cube storage bin I use for drainage. Just unplugge/ tilt/drain/done. One more thing put a towel where you drain only so you can remove after draining and clean it to use again....enjoy!...

upper water tray never drains. you can see it when you take the filter out of the back. I removed the plastic shell to get a better look and the unit sits in the top tray that has no drainage. The unit is rusting out after only two months. there is no way for the water to drain from top tray to the bottom where the drain plug is. This will most likely rust out within 3 years just like my LG. Once the coolant leaks out these units are done. If your getting a portable get one with an upper and a lower drain hole.

I have this some one! I know it saids...(No Drip of Water) however for me... I do an maintenance clean on all of mine AC's meaning around 3 or 4 months... Down at the bottom I unscrew the plug and let the water flow out... On this one... On my others I have an option to use an garden hose that I keep on it and let water flow out like that! I also keep the 'Filters" on the back clean as well... I feel keeping up such good "Maintenance" up on all of mine.... They will function the way they should and they have...(Just an little Tip) Blessings to everyone in this...🌍❤🙏🏾❤

DeLonghi 14,000 BTU (8,300 BTU DOE) Portable Air Conditioner This is the worst purchase I have ever made. This unit over heats, leaks constantly and you must drain it every 15 to 30min to keep it from shutting off. It has damaged my hardwood floors as well. Makes sure you read the reviews on this portable ac because they can prevent you from wasting your time and money.

Just curious how people live with this unit when it consumes 1460+ W from your home electricity line. I would assume the typical home line is 15A. So the max load would be 15 * 120 = 1800 W. HOWEVER, not exceeding 80% of load, i.e. 1440 W is always recommended. Given that this unit already exceeds 80% of a line load, how would people use other electronic devices in the same room? I don't believe people use a dedicated line for this unit nor they only READ when this unit is running.

How does this work for casement (crank out) windows? I watched the Delonghi set-up video, and it shows the hose sticking out of the window, but the window is still open. That would allow the hot air from outside to get inside.

I have the exact one... I use it at my patio sliding door! Using it side ways of course!!! My patio is 75inches also you can purchase extra window kit if you need to! I hope this helps... Blessings to you...✨🙏🏾✨

Heating works without the exhaust tube.

@@niazkhan3630 I do own two DeLonghi EX130 and they do not have a heating functionality. When the target temperature is at or above room temperature the compressor will shut down and the unit will jist function as a giant fan... no heating at all.... :(

You do have to have it hooked up to vent outside. If you don't it works overtime and gets too hot and slower to cool the room. The life of the machine would be short lived. Bad advise just to make a sale.

Yes, research on line don't listen to anyone that says you don't have to. Instructions also say yes for hot or cold. It has to have outside air intake. Hard to believe, but it is true for the life of it to last.

What about water accumulation when the machine is in AC cooling mode. How do you empty the water out of the unit and how often do you have to do that?
