Absolutely amazing, no need to tear everything apart. I've just finished my modification now. The advise to put flexi and clamp before saves even more time. Thank you very much!
Worked a treat, very very easy. For all, try to lever the new wand when trying to pass through the angles (eg put pressure to force the angle at the back). This video saves a lot of time to the traditional method for replacement.
I am glad that is easier then you think. From the little experience I got l advise to put the flexi and clamp it before you push it down. I didn't and l was struggling a little. So put flexi on as l say. Follow this advice and the movie and will be easier for you then for me. Hot water will help on every plastic part to bend more. All the best. Regards
Thanks so much for your guide! Definitely waaaaayyyy easier than the complete tear down from the other videos! 1. For me, i spend the most time trying to remove the rubber tube. I was concerned if the tube will get deformed. In the end, just pull it really hard and it finally came off. 2. Dish washing liquid helps with inserting the new wand. got todo some twist and turns. I did not need to remove the lower section to install the wand. 3. Maybe you or somebody can update the video to show how long should the tube go onto the wand and where should the clip go onto. Although i did got the tube onto the wand, i am still worried if the tube might come off eventually and cause a water mess in the machine. Thank you so much once again!
I done the video just to remember how to put it all back . 😁 Then l noticed the easier way. That's why l put on RU-vid. Maybe is available small clip to be more secure, but my still ok . Since you open ones then you know is not that bad. Let me know how you getting now with your coffee.
tbh how do you remove the rubber piping by just pulling? it seems almost impossible for me, and when I tried heating it up to loosen it, im afraid it will damage the other part of tube as I pull on it
Boil water helps to make the hose softer and more flexible so is easier to push on the metal element ( just the end ). If is still hard - bit of cleaning liquid make more slippery. Good luck.
@@creativemario101 I see the hose clamp, but still do not see the round flat washer looking type clip that has one side cut away. It is shown around the 2:04 point.
I see your point 👉. I didn't put it back because is not needed there. Slow down to 0.25 and look 1:58 , zoom it , to see where is the washer on the tube. Then go to 3:19 to see the new part. The new part got already ring , no space or chance to put the c clip. That is why new part is fitting from the top and the existing ring on that part do the job as C ring or clip. Old part is fitting from the bottom so C clip is needed. So we not using C clip at all when we fitting this new part. Is probably good to keep it just in case . Do you see the difference ?
@@creativemario101 ah haa. Yes I do see it. I kinda assumed maybe you just didn't need it for the new part. Very nice video. I did find this part after doing a search that your video made me think of and I think I will be installing this part instead. Its also stainless steel, less expensive, and alot easier to install and hopefully serves the exact same purpose.
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rancilio-Silvia-AUDREY-BETSY-FANTASY-NANCY-Gaggia-Classic-Steam-Wand-Tube-/115048009791?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0 It is working until now but the chrome is not so shiny. If l buy again l will choose another one. Probably with 2 screws. One with single hole and one with double hole . ( if you do coffee for all family at ones you can heat faster . ) With single hole l got more control . Are you from UK ?
