This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact ru-vid.comUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.
Thanks a lot for this video! I need to disassemble my la specialista, because the gauge stopped working. I got only to take down the upper cover and was afraid to push the front panel, where the gauge is. I checked the hose to the gauge, looks clean and dry. My next step will be to take out the gauge and test it with some pressurized air. If the gauge itself works, then the O-rings probably leak. Thanks a lot!
My machine has the brew part were you couple the porta filter to latch in three places. One of the places is broken and i cannot get the porta filter to fit tigh and i get a los of steam loss and iam unable to raise the pressure more than 10 psi. Do you have a video for replacing this part? Thanks! i love your work, excellent detailed info.
You have any video that the water is leaking all over. Whenever i try to have espresso the coffee doesnt comeout instead the water goes all over the filter even in the grinding part. 😢 Whats the problem with that??
thanks for disassembly video. it helped me took the guesswork of disassembly. i normally break plastic clips when doing first time disassembly of such appliances. just trying to figure out why my fill tank and bean lights blinking
thank you for this video, but I still have the same problem the water light is flashing and I can only start the tea, the water comes out of the nozzle and the cappuccino but nothing more... can you help me? THANKS
The Tea button pumps but no water comes out, some drips from the boiler. And Americano therefore does not work either. Cannot find instructions on how to remove air lock in this model.
I was hoping you were going to take the grinder assembly apart I have a DeLonghi La Specialista Maestro EC9665M I have used it about 5 weeks and the grinder will spin without beans but when beans are in to be ground it make a clicking noise like the teeth of the motor are disengaging from the grinder it worked perfectly until about 2 days ago
This is a marvelous video. I have a crack in the receptacle for the portafilter which causes water to flow outside it and I wonder what that part is called that needs to be replaced and if DeLonghi will provide that part.
Hi, I have this machine and when switched on, only the hot water button is on and when I press the hot water button, no water comes out but the machine definitely is trying to pump. Also, I noticed water leaks from the bottom in the middle, from one of the three small rectangle port holes, furthest back one. I don't know if you have experienced this fault before, whether it's a control panel issue or simple clogged heating circuit. I would really appreciate your help
I had the exact same issue with only hot water coming out of the machine (only hot water button on),so I just let it run the whole hot water cycle and machine went back to normal after that.
Hello, After 1 year of use of my Prestigio (and a religious cleaning after each use !) , I notice for about 2 weeks, a coffee leak around the portafilter. I lost the pressure (it's normal if there is a leak). I started to grind more coffee but to put the portafilter in place it take a lot more power. I suppose I risk to broke the portafilter head if I continue so The question : What can the cause of this leak be ? Is it the portafilter gasket ? Is it the filter edge which is not flat enough (I checked and didn't notice anything special) Is this joint under warranty ? (I got a 3 years warranty on my new machine). Thanks a lot.
Hi ML You can try and replace the gasket they are fairly cheap, but my guess is the flanges are damaged and the frame will need to be replaced. Call Delonghi for warranty service right away. this will only get worse. You can inspect this area by looking up into the area and seeing if any flange is cracked or the black plastic has turned whitish. I use my phone camera in reverse. Its a big job but if you are under warranty go this route and get it back to Delonghi.
Hello, I have bought a second-hand DeLonghi la specialista Prestigio and I have two problems. The pressure gauge does not work and the coffee has no crema. Can you help me here, what should I check and which parts should I replace? Best regards Christian
Does anyone know if the long version covers fixing a trouble light that is stuck on (Low water/water tank not seated properly). My La Specialista will not operate with this light on. I have tried refilling the tank, turning the power off and back on as well as re-seating the water tank. Thanks
Since you are at it, is there a way to adjust the grinder so it grinds a bit finer? This machine works quite alright, just that the grind size is too coarse even at finest setting. On mine I can only get to about 6 bars at best.
I've tried al kind of grinding and can not get to the optimal zone. I got the machine from Amazon liquidation, like new condition, but I have this issue. Any help will appreciared. Thanks for the vídeo
@coffeegrump I paid for your disassembly video BUT it doesn't actually show how to remove / replace the grinder motor?? Assistance please. I have purchased a replacement but need to know how to replace it properly.
Does anyone have any idea where to get a replacement control knob (one of the two large ones on the front - for controlling the grind amount and espresso/americano/hot water selection)? They aren't numbered in the technical manual or sold in the replacement parts catalog.
Hi Everyone Great question, these knob kits are very recent so they might not be available quite yet but check in with your Delonghi parts supplier. Knobs kit for La Specialista Arte EC9155 (P/N AS00006169): Knobs kit for La Specialista EC9335 and La Specialista Prestigio EC9355 (P/N AS00006171): Knobs kit for La Specialista Maestro EC9665 and EC9865 (P/N AS00006170 Coffee Grump

Hi, I have this machine and we had an issue with the grinder not working. We’ve sorted this but now the chamber seems full with ground coffee so when we grind nothing comes out of the machine. Can you advise how we un block this? Thanks
I have an EC9335.M with only one flowmeter. I was looking for the 2nd wire and couldn’t find it. Went to the mainboard and that connection from the board to the 2nd flowmeter doesn’t exist. Have you ever seen this before?
This was super helpful. Thanks! However - RED BROWN WHITE is the order of the hopper wires. Be careful. Your other video is correct but in this video, you have the wrong order of wires. The order you have here in this video - the bean sensor will work but the grind will not work due to wire pattern and it could potentially be dangerous
Hi, I need to remove the feet on my La Specialista Prestigio so it can fit in a cabinet. If I remove the feet it will give me about ¼" clearance which is all I need. Can you help me on that? I removed a silicon plug that goes into the bottom of each of the feet however there is an insert in the bottom of each foot that I need help removing so I get the foot detached from the chassis. Do you have any advice on that?
@@coffeegrump thanks!!!! I bought your video. but was unable to download on my computer. I just left the video page open. but would rather download if I can.
my presitgo machine is stuck in rinse mode and the problem is it makes zero sound, won't draw water at all but the control board flashes and acts like it's doing the final rinse mode, i wish i knew what caused this so i could fix it, there is no sound, no movement, but when i switch it on i hear a quick sound like the pump pressurising for a split second, but that's it, no actual ability to do anything.
Got a high pressure problem .. the machine was repared for that 3 months ago and there we go again … but the warranty is out I am screw .. dont know what to do …
I have this machine and i cant seem to make ot work anymore the add water light(mug with tea on the side) wont turn off even with water in it ! It happen after descaling ! I think i have a clog in the system the water dont get somewhere and i cant get pass this light anything i can try?
Great video, thank you. Using this to help me replace the steam wand with a Rancilio wand. Question for you. The black insert in the portafilter. Do you know if that just pulls out? I want to give the portafilter a good clean as I bought the unit used. Thanks
@@AlexeiWatson I replaced the steam wand with the Rancilio one. There's a clip on the tube that connects to the wand that I need to replace cuz it can't be reused after removing it. Took a few hours and a lot of muscle power but it worked. Will see if it holds up :)
@@AlexeiWatson Nice! Should have asked you again before I do it 😂 I have a cable tie holding the tube in place now until I can buy a proper clip. Did you have the same issue?
Great video! Btw, i have issue. There is GROUND COFFEE stuck between the FUNNEL OPENING (from grinder into the portafilter) and the TOP PART of the tamper. Basically, while grinding and before it stops, i accidentally tamp the coffee. so, the newly grounded coffee slide on top of the tamper inside the SMART TAMPER. (I assume, it stuck inside the WHITE PART when you take out the FRONT PANEL) May i know how to dissamble that part OR at least how to remove the GROUND COFFEE. I appreciate any inputs on this. thank you!
Open the little access door on the top of the machine near the bean hopper and use a vacuum cleaner to suck out all the coffee grounds. Simple. Try to do this while moving the tamper handle in order to catch everything. Hope this helps :)
You can just pull up on the white plastic shroud and then vacuum out the residual grind. Replace the shroud back on. You should need to go any further. Then reassemble the top and front panel. You should be good Coffee Grump
@@coffeegrump Hi, I have a La Specialista Prestigio that seems to be stuck in the descaling process. Nothing I did helped: adding water to the tank, turning off and on. The decale button flashes at startup, OK is solid white. I press OK to start the process, and then the OK light just flashes. No pumping noise, nothing. What could it be?
Hi i have problem with cockroaches in my coffee machine same model. Is it necessary for me to disassemble the whole machine like this or not? I’m not sure what to do. 😓
you forgot the disassembly of the most frequently serviced part on all espresso machines... the brew group head. This unit was poorly designed, why they gave the group head plastic parts and x 2 group gaskets is beyond me.... This video should be renamed how to remove basic housing/ panel screws
