Cold engine start up with thermo-time switch disabled and new solid state hot start relay installed. The hot start relay turns on the cold start valve after one second of cranking.
The solid state hot start relay is great for those who want an alternative to a $150 thermotime switch. Original ones are getting harder to come by, and the reproductions aren’t as good. This relay fires the cold start valve after one complete second of ending cranking. It will also get you out of a non starting condition when the engine is hot. You will always get a consistent start, but you may notice slightly longer cranking than before because you have to wait for that one second interval.
