Cloudy day in Honolulu so the view of O'ahu wasn't the greatest. But the sunset approach into Seattle made up for it as we approached from the south and made our turn onto final over Tacoma. After taxiing to our gate a Horizon flight had started pushing back which blocked us from getting in so we sat for a while and then had to go around in circles to get back to the gate.

Beautiful landing over Commencement Bay (Tacoma) and into the NB good weather approach to Sea-Tac.

Nice video! Whenever I take off from the reef runway, I always think, this will probably be the last time I visit Hawaii. But I keep returning every year. From New York! It's still so odd to see a little 737 on this longish route, but it's more routine than the A-330s I've been traveling on (I posted a bunch of Hawaii takeoffs/landings on my channel).

I remember flying DC-10s, L-1011s and 747-200s back to the islands back in the day! 737s are a nice aircraft but I really prefer wide bodies. Unfortunately Delta doesn't fly those to HNL out of SEA.

Long 737 route but no different than say Los Angeles to Boston, which has been operated by a 737-800. And United flies SNA-EWR with a 737-700. I just think HNL-SEA seems long on the 737 because it's all over water but in reality, it might be shorter than some of the other routes 737s fly.
