I might never have seen this movie as of yet, but my love of the Indianapolis 500 introduced me to this memorable theme. Alan Silvestri should have won an Oscar for it. God Bless the Indianapolis 500
I remember listening to Dennis Miller's radio show one night and he and his staff kept playing this song over and over - they just loved it too much and couldn't stop playing it!
Same with me. Love the 80s techno music here blended in with evangelical like tunes here. I feel the evangelical sounding parts were put in this song to symbolize places such as Israel and the Middle East hence nicknamed "The Holy Land" and what this movie was about and the siding of the Jewish people in this movie, setting hostages free and fighting Islamic extremist terrorists.
I watched this movies 3days ago and I couldn't hold back tears. Cried more than 3times. It reminded me of my childhood memory as one of my favourite movies and then,the terrorist death with the passengers on board and how how the passengers were rescued. Am sure to try again if I decide to rewatch THE DELTA FORCE PT 1.
Great track and great movie. The events of this movie were loosely based from the actual of TWA Flight 847 which was hijacked in the Summer of 1985. Events such as the hijackers shooting at the reporters and the Navy Diver being beaten, executed and body dumped on the runway are both true events.
Really good theme, I saw this movie in 1986 for first time in the hosue of my neighbour and I remembered this tune for many years, keep it inside my mind as something brilliant ! When movies were something more than make money !! Lee Marvin included as the best of the movie along with Chuck Norris.

Alan Silvestri often gets overlooked by the Basil Pouledoris, Jerry Goldsmith and John Williams (all three great in their own right) but he (Alan) has written some top-notch stuff.

Loved this movie as a kid....and I still do to this day. One of my fondest memories is of Chuck Norris trying to board the plane on a FREAKING motorcycle....the 80's were the epitome the action movie genre. You dont find that many like this one. Thanks for the upload.
Me too, watched the VHS with my cousin we were 7-8 years old at the time emulating the movie legendary scenes with our set of GI Joe action figures....Good memories.

What can I say about this beautiful movie? It's very overlooked and underrated classic of the 80's. Chuck Norris was stunning. Other actors/actresses did a great job too.
This soundtrack is nice. The musical score is superb. A deserving soundtrack for the movie. I watched this movie 50 times. I missed this kind of music.

Mash cant beat the british sas as the number one real life hostage rescue squad....and i say this as an irish woman...as in real examples ....operation desert claw in 1980 was a total disaster for delta force but the operation to release the hostage in the iranian embassey in london (also in 1980) was a resounding success.

yeah. this along with the other macho action films featuring Schwarzenegger, Stallone, and of course Chuck Norris made action films kick ass. most movies of today are just lacking the amount of action films like the delta force had
