This was three months after my brother, master sergeant Michael McNulty, was killed in combat in Iraq. He was part of Delta detachment, and had been for a while. He was killed on June 17, 2005, with another member of Delta detachment named Bob Hagen. These are the people that give the enemy nightmares. My brother was one of them. We need to talk about SOAR. The Night Stalkers always seem to be doing the flying for all the western special forces of many nations. Yet we kinda just mention them and move on. I like to hear more information about them, as they tend to be more secretive like delta force themselves.

We were relieving a unit out of Fort Campbell KY. We landed in Baghdad and flew out on Blackhawks to FOB St. Michael total blackout. No white light even after hitting the ground. It was such an adrenaline rush. Place has the reputation of being “The Sunni Triangle of Death”. Well earned from my understanding.
