Came here because I’m in the market for this gorgeous amp, but I have to say Damien your playing is just jaw droppingly amazing. There’s a lot of great guitarists on youtube, but it’s rare to find one so incredibly original. The fusion of blues, rockabilly, jazz …. oh man I could watch you play all night and not get bored. Obviously I’m now currently looking at your lessons !! Great stuff
The amp sounds great! You'd sound great playing through any kind of amp, but I've got to say this one sounds especially sweet! I bought your "Good Rockin' Guitar" lesson series and I couldn't be happier. I've been trying for years to incorporate more chromatics, double stops, and diminished ideas into my blues & swing playing and your lessons were the perfect solution. Not only do you provide examples of excellent licks presented really clearly (and I'm stealing them with impunity LOL) but you've given me the tools to create my own licks and vastly improve my ability to improvise and you do so with a very positive, uplifting manner. Thank you for everything you do!!
This review was the last pin in making my decision for a small amp. And I can say I’ve never been happier with a purchase. Thanks for top notch review!
Great video, wonderful sound. My first 25 years of playing were all about volume and chasing the perfect overdriven/distortion tone. The past 30 years have been devoted to playing with a glorious 3D clean tone. Your sound is great in the video, will have to hear how it sounds in person.
First time seeing one of your videos and really enjoyed the “Bob Ross of Guitar” vibes, fantastic tones and chord structures, and even the confidence boost at the end! Subscribed for sure!
I'm a Fender guy and non-metal Boogie guy, and this amp is a great complement to those sounds. They make for a Fender-inspired power trio. I just use it for recording. It does the job. I did a lot of research before making my purchase. No disappointments. And they seem to be a really cool company!
Hi Mr Bacci, I really enjoyed your playing as you demoed the amp setting's. As for the Delta King 10 it sounded like a super versatile amp. Beautiful Telecaster!
Thanks for showing it with some western swing I wasn’t expecting that. I was literally sitting here practicing some Western swing myself and noticed you play a lot of the licks I do too. Haha. Awesome. I ordered the 12 watt one the other day.
Growing up my guitar hero was Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple) b/c of his choice of notes which were not typical of the other players who mostly played pentatonic scale at the time. I did not know what that flavour was, jazz...? Now watching this video (again) I see that he played licks like that here and there and made it more attractive to my ears. Amazing. Cheers!
I was surprised (not in a bad way) by what you played after seeing the Iron maiden top 😄 If you are a musician you appreciate all forms of music. Great playing and a really nice sounding amp.
I Want this exact amp that Damian just played because I know it works ! If I buy one myself it may or may not work, always good to buy something that has been tested.
After much experimentation - I now play this amp with the preamp turned all the way up, and just adjst the master volume. Absolutely killer tone, sounds unbelievable with a tube screamer and my fender strat (w/p90s)
The Supro Delta King amps are far from being an all tube circuit. That being said, I've gigged two Blues King 12s for a year for our small venue gigs and had no problems with them after replacing the power tubes after purchase. For their size, they have a nice, round tone that works with single coils and humbuckers. Just my two cents worth.
Fabulous with every guitar you played and you pulled a great range of tones to show folks who're afraid of it being a one-trick pony. I got the 12 (at an open-box deal) to save my pre-war EH-150 from playing 30s-40s swing out (and works at home w the cost of some boost/drive) as all the 'period-correct amps were inflated $$$. It's close enough for my ears at that and nice to know it does so much more. Great demo Damian, thanks!
@@Damianblf definitely going to get your jump Blues DVD soon - once the till is a bit fuller :-) You've got the touch and a great teaching style! Thank YOU :-)
Great video . I have been looking into this Amp before this video . I even talked to a guy at Sweetwater . I want to say Damian , I love your playing . I love “ WHAT you play .🤙
I bought the Delta King 12 last year : great sound with every guitar I use. It has a classic 3 bands eq (a mid control add), 10W and a 12' speaker... I love this little amp.
@@carlagilbert1449 Ya the Supro Blues King & Delta King are a bit confusing with model names The DK8 is 1Watt 8inch speaker, hence DK8, istead of using the wattage for the model Supro uses the speaker size . The DK12 uses a 12 inch speaker and has 15Watts. Therefore you're both correct. Cheers.
Awesome review! I've been looking at the 12 inch speaker version of this amp. I currently belt out my Bacci licks through a Vox AC4-12. With the Rumble seat for my reverb and slap back. Always enjoy your reviews and lessons. Keep it coming!!
I absolutely love those Supro Island series guitars , this amp looks nice. Currently I’m using a Crate vintage club 30. But might consider one of these. Spring reverb baby!
You gotta do what you gotta do, but it's a fabulous amp. Damian's right the 10s got all that, but the 12 for band gigging. Haven't looked back from mine.
I just got my hands on a Sheraton II Pro and have been on the fence between Blues Junior and Delta King 12. Still not sure where I'm leaning, but it was nice to hear how the Delta 10 sounds with a jazzier guitar.
Great video Damian and always such a pleasure to hear you play. I have a Brian Setzer Smoke 6120 on order, what small amp would you recommend between this or a Fender?
@Damian Bacci I'm taking in all I can.... I ain't got mych time left in this here world!😉 Being disabled and retired... All I do is clean house and play my guitar. And truth be told..I go balls out for anything Blues, C&W, Westwrn Swing, Chicago Blues, Memphis, East and West Coast..... And now I'm feeling like it's time to slow it up a bit. So instead of just my Surf Band, I'm also playing in a European and Old Western duo. You get a chance Damian, check out "Women of Ireland." And you'll see what I mean. Playing what you offer takes me back to my start as an accordian player at 5. And playing guitar 2 years later...which meant Johnny, Little Richard, Bill Haley and T-Bone...with all the rest. And there are my roots. You've made sure to water my ambition back up. And I thank the hell out of you for it! Be Well Amigo...got to practice!
for just a little more you could have the boys over at Vintage 47 build you a faithful reproduction of that old Valco circuit. Hand wired point to point and everything.
IMO, the best part of your product reviews are the riffs played over chord progressions. Which of your for-sale products do you recommend riffs-over-chords ideas? Thanks.
Thank you that is very kind of you to say. A lot of these similar licks and ideas can be found in my "Good Rockin' Guitar" & "Ultimate Rockabilly Guitar" courses on my website. Thanks for watching. :)
My problem with the amp was that the boost and drive circuits caused such a huge increase in volume, and are voiced differently. You also have to dial the amp in for every different guitar, and it does not take pedals well at all, it is way dark and muffled.
I love the sound and your playing! Please clarify, though, why you don't recommend miking it and running it through the sound system for gigs? That worked well for my 1962 Deluxe.
