Nice video. You were actually on one of the oldest international aircraft in the delta fleet: the 767-300. The reason they send the older ones to Africa is because there is very little competition on that route so they don't really need to wow the customers. The newer aircraft are mainly going to Asia and Europe because Delta has to compete with all those amazing airlines in those regions.

You see I knew it , it definitely was missing the bells and whistles and snazz factor and it's such a shame that we flying to africa have to enter the horse and buggy of the fleet. Thank you for this informative comment ❤❤❤❤!

@@GlitteratieEnt yep, typically to Asia you will fly the a350 or a330-900neo which have the nice DeltaOne suites. Asia routes have a lot more competition so Delta has to save those planes for Asia mostly. Fly to Asia! You’ll experience the newer and better DeltaOne suites. Also for future reference, Delta does not have “first class” internationally. Internationally DeltaOne is marketed as a “Business Class” product. “First class” internationally would consist of different ways to plate food, different inflight service from the cabin crew such as making the bed for you, different selections of wine. Delta does not have first class internationally, only Business class.

I knew this was buisness classey not First Class white glove but Delta's micro version of it lol. I would love to experience the actual newer plane Delta Ones and I'm so sad we flying to Africa don't get the bells and whistles like everyone else lol. Absolutely sad - Delta one to Ghana is like economy from from USA to China. The 767 is old. I may drive all the way to Washington just to enjoy the 787 United Flies to Accra.

It's wonderful to compare the Delta One layout to the days of Boaing 747 which I flew in the 90's. The Jumbo jet had a bar in first class which give pax the opportunity to mingle and get to know each other over a cocktail. Delta One is well spaced out in these days of COVID. I would like to try it out sometime soon. The joy of eating off cockery not plastic, endless coktails and well prepared meals and plated. Great experience congratulations
