Very much enjoyed your videos. I just finished checking out my 1963 Unisaw and re calibrating the stops for 90 and 45 degrees. My saw has a LARGE, 10' outfeed table built around it and necessitated removing the top and leaving the wings attached to the outfeed table. This caused a real problem when it came to reassembling the top on the saw. I just couldn't get the holes lined up. After a number of hours fiddling and getting nowhere, I decided a successful tactic might be to get four 3" 7/16ths fine tread bolts to make into alignment pins. I cut off the hex heads on a metal cutting horizontal bandsaw, chucked the threaded end into a half inch drill and pulled out an angle grinder, which I placed on a work table with disc up. Starting the grinder and running the drill with the cut off bolt spinning against the grinder at a modest angle quickly produced a perfect pencil point on the end of the bold. I installed the modified bolts into the top finger tight and took it to the saw-- a little push here and there and the top seated perfectly.

Great restoration job. Watched beginning to end. Question what color or paint did you spray with. Also it would be good to know what you paid for a basket case. This would help people to see if it's worth the effort to do a restoration. Anyway it looked supper

Unfortunately my knowledge base for 3 Phase to single phase is almost non-existant. I have seen stuff on how to do the conversion but have never done one. As you probably know there is a lot of vintage equipment with 3 Phase. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thanks for the update on the Unisaw. Mine was an inheritance from my grandfather, vintage about 1948. Seems to run great but overloads my house curret 120. As I understand it, the saw can run, maybe evern better, with a 240. So my problem is to know which wires in the on/off switch I need to change. Is this safe? Don't think the motor has been rewired from the original but it hasn't been used much, though it has been used a little and seems fine, since 1977.
The wiring change you need to make to convert back to 220V is the motor - not the switch. Most all have a small diagram on the motor housing or inside cover of the wiring box. The old saws can be hard to tell wire colors as they might fade over time. If you can find that it is an easy change. If you can't find that diagram, I'd suggest consulting an electric shop. You don't want to cook the motor. They run alot better on 220. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I have a 34-450 Rockwell Unisaw that I have not been successful in dating. Rectangular red manufacturer’s label on the upper right front just above the old switch location. Handles on both adjustment wheels are black plastic not polished steel. It has a large vertical Rockwell spelled out on the centre os the clean-out door. I would love to find the original splitter assembly that protrudes through the throat plate (not one that came on some on the rear of the saw) , my saw came with a humongous motor and two belts. I really enjoyed your whole restoration procedure, brings back memories of my restoration.

Great work! I believe it was part 3 you showed a piece of sheet metal you were going to mount on the right side to stop dust from flying out. I’m guessing you noticed the motor protrudes out the side of the cabinet so a flat sheet couldn’t work. Was wondering what you did for that large side opening?
I fabricated a box from some 1/4" plywood that hangs on the side of the cabinet and covers the motor. The top is slanted so sawdust doesn't collect. It hangs a couple sheet metal screws in the side of the cabinet. I took a picture but can't insert here. It's about 6" deep and just wide/high enough to cover the opening. Works great. @@elwellboy thank you for helping. Have an issue getting the interior parts out. In your video you start to remove, and then it skips to the parts being out. Any suggestion?
Once I got the big pin holding the blade arbor out (it was really frozen), I tried to remove the raising and tilting mechanism without removing the screw rods. I couldn't get them out so removed both screw rods and was then able to get the mechanisms out (it was still tight). Hope this helps. Let me know how you make out.
