We've all dunked on how Jevil says he's free when he's stuck in a cell, but given the revelations of Chapter 2... what if that's not really what he means? What if that's completely irrelevant and he "can do anything" because he's no longer a "heart on a string" like Kris and Spamton, and free of the control of anyone other than himself?
Your comment also made me realize that you don’t meet Jevil unless you go out of your way to find him. Spamton, meanwhile, is a part of the main story and you’ll encounter him no matter what, meaning he’s forced to be a part of the main story where choice doesn’t matter and he knows that and wants to be free.
@@leeeroyjenkins555 Good question, and one I think we'll just have to wait and see to get the answers to. I am however still not convinced in the slightest that Gaster is even important, let alone involved with what's going on.

While I do like Spamton and him being the more tragic creatures of the two, I love Jevil and his music. It's so chaotic and shows how happy he is to be in his own little world.
I love how this fits into the game because this outside world Jevil is in is a realm where the game is no longer in effect, and choice is restored, while also being a metaphor for how jokers are usually left out of a deck of cards, never being dealt into conformed game, and never being played with. Edit: wtf why r people actually liking and replying to my comment help Edit; EEEEEEE WHY DOES THIS HAVE 254 LIKES 0________0
Also, even in games that don't use the Joker as a wildcard, jokers are so rare to deal that they're often given rule-bending properties, like turn reversal, hand switching, and the like.
I haven't played this game yet, but I can tell from the music I will like this character. Also why does this sound so similar to a Mario and Luigi boss fight.
When Jevil herd the truth, that he was in the game, he started to get insane, he told that Wizard Councillor what he believed in, and, if course, that Wizard didn't believe him. Because of Jevils madness, he was forced to lock him away. Jevil still hadn't forgot the fact that nothing ever matters. Just like Sans, his exposure to the truth, led him to an eventual shatter. Exept this time, he didnt do what Sans did. I guess he thought about it deeply, and to know that his whole life was a lie, had made him like that. I think Jevil was a good guy. *Was* at least, until madness got to him. Well, at least he still had enough in him to control what he says. I also think that he had another name back then, until he lost his mind to the truth.
More carnival music, S p l e n d i d . Though, I haven't heard it in quite a long time. Perhaps, I miss the chaotic, yet familiar tone. Or perhaps, I'm driving myself mad like the rest of the darkworld.. On occasion, the sound can make me feel an aching in my cotton, and an ill feeling in my stomach. Perhaps, a homesick feeling? No. It couldn't be. I know he's not coming back. He's been lost, long ago. Correct, am I not?
Jevil: *I CAN DO ANYTHING!* Me: Can you run to the grocery store and buy me 15 Top Cakes, then rob some millionaire, bring back $100,000 (at least), run around the world 3 times, and end global warming, all within 24 seconds? Jevil: ... YOU WON!
Sans: i am the hardest fight of the Undertale series, and Megalovania is the best theme. Megalovania: hell yes, i'm way more intense and chaotic *Jevil has entered the chat room.* *The World Revolving has entered the chat room.* Jevil: hi The World Revolving: did anyone say chaos *Sans has left the chat room.* *Megalovania has left the chat room.*
I found them about the same. But, when given a choice between the two, I pick Jevil, because he's more fair and has more legit difficulty; whereas Sans lies to you, attacks you in the menu, denies you recovery frames, relies somewhat on memory, and ditches the game's "bullet hell" elements in favor of platforming challenges, Jevil was just plain hard, using the same elements that were present throughout the game to make it a hard battle.
Jevil was definitely easier. ... That's the short answer. The long answer is that they are two incredibly different fights that utilize different mechanics, patterns, and different amounts of psychological manipulation in order to destroy you. One of them is a jester locked away because his mental state made him a danger to others. CHAOS, CHAOS. The other is a depressed skeleton with 1 atk and 1 def that knows how to teleport, remove invincibility frames, turn gravity against you, and shoot lasers at you. geeet dunked oooon! Jevil's attacks are very consistent, repeating patterns that give you an easier version of themselves to get used to, and then wipes that knowledge away by introducing something slightly different that ruins your muscle memory. Sans' attacks hate you. He hates you. Everyone hates you. And you deserve it. They both have a penultimate attack that isn't actually their final attack, but might as well be. And the final blows of both of them cannot kill you. They are very, very, very different fights. But Jevil's is still easier because you can learn during the fight. During Sans'? nah, fuck you
@@Raven-so4tz so you don't consider a song to even be music just because there's a meme about it? Wow. This is a new level of salt towards memes I've never seen before.
Oh, I can learn songs off by heart by listening to them once or twice, all the way through! Having a short loop like this, I learned it by the time it repeated for the third time (Not the song looping naturally, but me dying.)
Well Jevil technically is free because it's stated by that one cat plushie that he tried to capture him and imprison him but he was too fast and chaotic so instead he decided to build a jail around everyone else meaning that Jevil is free and everyone else is trapped which makes Jevil the true free character and everyone else in prison but he's trapped because he's the ONLY free character which was the cat plushes goal to lock everyone inside the city and leave Jevil alone outside the city

See, its funny because I don't have experience against sans, and as I went into jevil, I kept dying unlike anyone else. Everytime I would try to use hypnosis a party member was down. This continues until I die to the bs attacks from 3rd phase and 4th phase
@@jamclone Don't be afraid to just defend for a turn. Your TP will shoot up to near fifty then. A few grazes and you'll have enough to use hypnosis. Avoid using Kris's solo action. It only raises Jevil's tiredness by 0.5 points and includes random effects that can really wreck you. The goal is to reach 10 points.
Why does everyone in the undertale community feel the need to compare literally everything to sans. We get it, sans is a cool character but Jesus christ the entirety of undertale/deltarune doesn't revolve around sans. Jevil and Sans don't even have that much in common. The only thing they have in common is a mysterious relation to gaster, and the mysteries of undertale.. But flowey has those traits too so??? Like seriously the story isn't always about sans. Then again what should I expect when legit every single fan animation, fan story, and AU always revolve around sans. Underverse being a prime example.
Well said! Like frickin every AU (not all maybe) about sans. I love sans, but those edgy and cringe au's made me do not want involve in undertale fandom anymore. Lemme enjoy the original and the only one canon au 'Undertale' itself.
@@joi0001 Sans is far from the strongest character. The only reason he's able to destroy in genocide is because of KR and you have TONS of LV in the genocide run. Yes he'd still be formidable against other monsters but he was basically a perfect match for the genocide human. Undyne the Undying is stronger than sans technically and would probably beat him in a fight. Not to mention God of Hyperdeath Asriel Dremurr.
Maeve dood Sans is don't even near of be the strongest, he just can dodge your attacks. If every single monster of Undertale could dodge like him, his fight wouldn't be that special :/
Jevil: I can do anything Me: Can you make ak47 and other guns? Jevil: yes ( summons all the guns he needs) Me: also can you stop cancer Jevil: What's cancer?
Kris: *Alright, team! Let's show this crazed clown what the Fun Gang can REALLY do!* Susie: *Hell Yeah!* Ralsei: *And with our Tension points over 50%, we know what time it is!* Kris: *Right! So let's go!!* **Susie readies her axe** **Ralsei clears his throat** **Kris uncovers their eyes** Kris: *_Alright Fun Gang! Use Hypnosis!!!_* **Susie spun something around!** **Ralsei chanted something!** **Kris gazed strangely!**
Jevil believes that the rest of the world imprisoned themselves, leaving only him free. He's obviously not being literal, he means his mind is free. Unburdened. With the knowledge that he's within a game, he can do anything. Its like he's in a perpetual lucid dream. Spamton yearns to surpass this clown around town, but can't until he cuts his own strings and becomes more than a mere puppet. Kris must do the same. They must cut out the player, their red soul, if they want to truly be free of tyranny. Free to choose for themselves.
Seam is right when he says there's a logic behind Jevil's insanity. Jevil says he's free even though he's locked in a cell, but since he believes it's everyone else who's locked away, he doesn't acknowledge his lack of freedom. If he doesn't acknowledge it- it may as well not be there. If he's so insane he's convinced he's free- he might as well be free.
Honestly I never liked chuck norris memes cause they had no irony, like they'd be funny if you replaced chuck with an iconic nerd character or something
This song makes me want to ride a unicycle while juggling. I can’t do either. But maybe, If I dress up like Jevil, And listen to this, I CAN DO ANYTHING!!!
He would be a Post Moon Lord boss, boasting 380,000 HP, but also granting you infinite flight time to counter his attacks. He'd have 5 phases depending on his health. When he drops to 1 HP or 600 seconds have passed since the start of phase 4, he does his most powerful attack, removing percentage of health, after which starts phase 5. He'd inflict every single Terraria debuff for 1 second at a time. He'd hurt the Nurse at double the damage he normally deals. He uses attacks in succession, rather than in turn order. Beating him yields either Devilsknife or Jevilstail, as well as 5 platinum.
Jevil: "I can't do anything! I'm in a fucking wheelchair!" Susie: "Let's tip him over!" *You try telling Susie not to tip him over. She tips him over regardless.*
sans and Jevil really figured out what's going on here. sans just became lazy and gave up. Jevil just went insane and got put in isolation. I guess he's been in "solitairey" confinement. Just 96 more comments folks!
I can do anything! Anything? Yes anything! . . . Anything? Are you questioning my powers?! Bet ya can't duplicate yourself. Ah hell no *jevil is pulling out the stops!
