@@medjaimcgraw5632 I'm leaning towards "yes". Kris stabs the Soul and dies. Or at least,dies after a lil' bit since they can't survive without a Soul for long

I tried using IceShock on only the enemies after the gang meets Porky instead of every single enemy encounter and the cutscene still happened! I guess IceShock is only needed on that battle, not every single battle.
It's interesting that Kris is only able to fester up the strength to do this shit when anyone they're close to is threatened, like the secret in section 1 with toriel
Damn, now THIS is a secret! Even if it would be logical for some to do this based on the Weird route in Deltarune, the low damage would be enough to discourage pretty much anyone attempting this. Anyone but you. So thanks a lot for going through this! Too bad it's essentially just a middle finger to anyone that's THAT stubborn to do this lmao.
I actually did this in my first attempt because I got like 5 "Kris did nothing"s in a row immediately after they got concussed and just assumed kris was completely unable to fight in that state, using them as defense fodder for the rest of the game.
That's a pretty _cool_ secret huh Lame pun aside I'm surprised people are finding out these kinds of things already. Also Ice Shock doing less damage to explosive oaks is an intended feature, I remember Sarah mentioning this
@@JustaBLUToon I'd imagine also if anything you probably only have to _kill_ with Ice Shock, lowering health with other attacks might be fine though I don't know
A similar thing happens in the UT portion. If you only fight and/or use rude buster via. Susie, you can get Kris to shatter their soul near Toriel's home. No special game over, just a part in genocide.
It's not exclusive to using only rude buster, it happens either way if you choose correct dialogue options in the genocide route, correct me if they changed it, though
fun fact:The player attached him/her/theirself with kris soul...so kris can't survive without the soul for too long.. if they really want to get free and thats not his soul they could just teared the soul from the beginning. so yeah...Kris Committed Sucide to themselves.

I was doing a normal genocidal route and when it was my turn to fight those guys in blue I said "Oh shit no... It's going to take me a long time!" so I decided to use only Iceshock, when I managed to finish the fight Noelle said "Why are you making me fight only?" I was very confused in that part because in all the previous fights he always used the three to attack
As a bit of a follow-up: If you don't choose the dialogue options I did, instead of getting the Game Over, you'll just continue the Obliteration route as normal. ALSO STOP CALLING KRIS A HE, THEY'RE NONBINARY AND USE THEY/THEM, IT'S CANON LORE.

My theory is that Kris cannot survive without us, because we've become one with *his* soul, like spamton couldn't survive without his "strings", but of course it must has a way to save Kris from us, maybe Noelle's freezing can safely remove us out of Kris's soul, tear the "strings" up without negative effects to Kris, just like when you cut off frozen limb and it isn't bleeding, but when Kris had removed us from him rudely, he couldn't live long, because he was like "bleeding" without us, so he had to let us control him again, and again. But in the end, after Noelle's "safe removing", she killed us, and we again restarted the *game* and took control of Kris again, idk how we can be stopped forever, but (lets return to the original Deltarune) maybe Kris understands, that all this is a game to us, and he tries to bring the "roaring" for epic ending, or he just wants to entertain us enough to never open the game again. BUT if Kris isn't understanding why are we controling him, i don't really understand why does he create fountains, like MAYBE when we die, we are just teleporting to another timeline, but in previous - Kris becomes free from us, so by creating fountains, he tries to kill us? But...Then he could just kill us by himself, so i might be wrong
why did you feel the need to emphasise the "his", Kris's pronouns are [ON THE PLATE FOR DEBATE]. Kris could be she/her, or as most people (including myself) tend to use for Kris, they/them. Feel free to use he/him for Kris, but why specifically put "his" in bold?
We never directly threaten the people Kris cares about. Snowgrave he likely would have reached this point if Noelle stayed with us after the first casting of Snowgrave.
@@aresrivera9744 I'm pretty sure Kris' breakdown after the Pacifist Spamton Neo fight was because Spamton kept talking about how he wanted to be free, to not be a puppet anymore, and when the final string was cut, it was revealed that he can *only* exist as a puppet. Kris' entire hope during that fight is that it'll reveal a way to rid themselves of the player for good. And when that doesn't happen, they're in shock. It doesn't hit them fully until they're leaving the basement, where they start screaming in panic because to them, that reinforced the idea that Kris is never going to be able to get rid of us. It wasn't that Spamton was some special friend that Kris loved. It was that they were having an existential meltdown. So when Spamton stood in our way of getting Kris home, and they realized the Noelle was their only hope, they let it happen.

Could you do a video seeing what happens if you kill Paula first in the fight against Ness and Paula? I'm just very curious to see if there's a different battle.
So, Paula will heal all the hp you deal if you fight her when she’s alongside ness, if you get Ness and Paula into a sparing state, you can try to attack Paula but Ness will take the revenge kill, leading to phase 2 of the fight where Ness is dead, and Megalovania plays
Yes. All of the battles in Section 2 up until that point I only used Noelle's Ice Shock. Using any other damaging move aborts the secret. (You can still use items and Heal Prayer)
I mean it’s not and Kris knows that. He killed himself to do that. That wasn’t about him wrenching control from us so he could be free, that was him sending us a message: Make me do whatever you want, but never EVER hurt or manipulate the people I love. And that’s fucking powerful.
