Seriously Caitlin will make these broads more money by default through being a legit draw. Talk about kicking a gift horse in the mouth for no reason. More proof women legitimately hate women
Why do all women think opinions are hating a person can't have an opinion without being called a hater he's a professional basketball player who know about what they do when they call something out why do they have to be called hated how else are you gonna express yourself without telling the truth
@@hottrakz because women can be connivving like that. DT is a WNBA HOFer but in those 20 years the WNBA has not made a profit because despite her greatness nobody cared to watch! The NBA has been paying alimony to the WNBA so they can play. They lose 10 million annual yet the woman want a greater share of revenue (from a losing product)!!!! Now Caitlin Clark is all getting the attention DT wants to take subtle digs at her. Why not embrace the rookie who is going to elevate the entire league and help them all get what they have been whining for for 20 years!!! More money!!!!
Shout out to Erica Wheeler from the Indiana Fever. She was on twitter being so pumped when Caitlin announced she was going to the draft. She was not jealous, even called Caitlin "Baby Goat". That made me smile. Not all are haters.

Well she better learn how to win stats with no wins don't cut it in sports. Nobody wants to hear how great you are if you're on the losing team. They shut her down they need to move the ball more. She has the potential to be great time will tell
And the WNBA literally can’t give away enough tickets to fill up arenas in the suburbs with a few thousand seats😂 Their finals games do less numbers than professional darts matches lmao
You have to take and make those shots to get the green light. That being said Clark had the green light before she stepped foot on court for Iowa. It was part of the sales pitch that they were an up-tempo team that would run everything through Clark.
@@TaiyouArt Her pop off is insane. She is amazing at moving away in a wide variety of ways to get her shots off. The idea the WNBA has women that match the people in South Carolina is fine but they aint any better. Clark did her thing against South Carolina.
But apparently " 40% of the 3's" isn't enough to win a championship when a single defensive player can shut your game down when it counts. Also, most coaches know that you can't count on a single player to win a championship.
The ex UConn players really piss me off, yall played for super teams but wanna gatekeep CC from the college GOAT arguments cause she didn’t win a championship? She has to carry a team that is kind of average to back to back natty appearances
Isn't that like 90% of what sports media does in the 21st century? Bully players for their team losing. Not saying thats right its gross tbh but you're acting like this concept is new.
That's actually inaccurate, Stuelke high school all American n top 25 player, Martin, Marshall, Affoltor are four star recruits. Iowa also has a top 20 class coming in 24-25 n a top 10 (as of now) in 25-26 including two five star recruits.
I guess you could see the future through that bald head of yours give the girl a chance to get in there y'all making her a target let her show improve if she proves that she has it then she gets the credit. Hopefully she plays better then she played this last game
OR maybe their just waiting until she actually demonstrates that she actually is better than them by winning a championship instead of just having good statistics.

I don't get the Caitlyn Clark hate, she got on off of skill, not her mouth or her sexuality, which is so rare for women. Can't see why it's not celebrated.
Did she just say I've never seen anyone with a green light like caitlin before. So that has to mean that caitlin has taken the most shots of anyone in history. What a total lie. She averaged 19 shots per game in her career. Juju averaged 22 her rookie season. This is about color, point blank period.
I’m not sure how the current WNBA players could be more irrelevant. No one watches their games. That league is only still in existence because the NBA subsidize it. So instead of embracing CC for the eyes she’s bringing, they trash her? Pathetic.
I'm really hoping cc's games have HUGE viewership and it shuts all of those old Wnba players up! They aren't very bright. They could be welcoming the attention CC brings, but they'll just try anything they can to ruin her out of their own jealousy
If she had Caitlin's green light and could shoot like Caitlin, she would have gotten the light. We also would know who she is. I've never heard her name before.
I think the owners, and management will let them know, hurt our meal ticket, and you will be gone. Not tell them they can't be aggressive, but they better not hurt her. If they do, Caitlin can always take herself, and her fans, overseas.
I was saying the same thing. The whole wnba will team up against her just to prove their point. They would rather tear her down and keep the league mediocre than to let her shine and bring in millions in viewership. They’re basically saying ‘if WE can’t be the face, no one can’

In 6 WNBA seasons Lexie Brown has averaged double figures once (12.4 PPG last season, 2023) Brown has career averages of 6.1 PPG 1.6 rebounds per game 1.6 assists per game 1 turnover per game Brown is a career 40% shooter from the field and 36% from 3 Brown would be lucky to carry Caitlyn Clark’s bags. All these WNBA “women” (they act more like middle school girls) are so jealous of Clark because they know that, even though Clark is going to grow their league exponentially, it’s likely not going to benefit their generation and it’s going to be the future generation that gets a higher salary, the league getting more attention and the WNBA’s reputation improving. All of that takes time to happen. These haters won’t be around to see it. The NBA equivalent of Lexie Brown is signing for the veteran’s minimum of like $3.5M for a season. Brown has made less than 10 times that in 6 years. These girls are jealous because even though the WNBA salaries range from only $74K-$98K, Clark will make millions on sponsorships alone. Instead of being happy that Caitlyn Clark will uplift their league, they’re all hating because they know it won’t benefit their bottom line, Clark will make millions while these girls will make less than most people make sitting in cubicles. It’s sad really. This will somewhat impede the league growth of the WNBA.
WNBA players really are hostile and delusional. They want a high salary when they can’t even turn a profit, they get angry when you give ideas to try to make their league more exciting (lower the rims) and it’s also hilarious when they think they can beat an NBA player 1v1
I'll drive 200 miles to Dallas when Indiana is on town just to see CC play. And I have never been to a WNBA game in my life Nor have I ever watched a whole WNBA game ever.
All female players should be praising her, they are probably going to get more visibility from those big companies and possible endorsements. Women sometimes can be very catty.
Caitlin Clark was at first the Canary in the Cultural Mine of WBB, now she is for the entire culture. - She and her coach and teammates did everything the right way. If we can't treat them right and enjoy the excitement and great role modeling they've given us, then we know we've gone further backwards then the time of Tiger Woods - when most of us came together to buoy him past the gatekeepers. - Besides the pettiness of the hive mind following cheap race politics and all, the national championship game was a travesty. One team is completely made up of five star players, they lose five and get five more and then "coach of the year". Nobody but homers is buying it. Five teams have won 70% of all WNCAA championships. The incredible competitive imbalance of player distribution, whether through direct collusion or lack of oversight, destroys the sport. - Clark and Iowa just showed the country that 500% more people want to watch women's basketball, but they want to watch fairly built teams with the best coaching around great talent, not a modern Red Auerbach controlling the recruiting back door. - We are about to see the biggest drop in viewership of any sports league in history. If the WNBA doesn't wake up from being angry and woke they're about to drop the biggest ball that anyone's ever dropped. - Imagine a reality where haters ruled the Magic and Bird story of inspiration.
Wow. Yes well said. They are hurting themselves, hurting the sport, and hurting their culture. Get behind her like people supported Tiger or people will just turn it off
Your statement is false. Coach Staley has been with Carolina for almost 2 decades and she BUILT her 1st championship team(2017) around A'ja Wilson(who's from Hopkins, SC). Her next natty team was recruited("The Freshies") and grew together to win the championship in 2022 as Jrs. The team this year had a few holdovers from that 2022 title team and the 2023 team that lost to Iowa in the tournament. Two of their best recruits are homegrown(Fulwiley & Watkins) just like A'ja, which is just good for ANY coach that can get the talent stay home. Then you build a team thru the portal. Cardoso: transfer, Pao Pao: transfer.. you get the point. Just because you have a great team doesn't mean you can coach them to the championship every time. Look at LSU, UCONN and hell even SC. GO GAMECOCKS!
@@nomadxpert You are talking about Apples and a Royal Banquet. No team, even if the coach stays 50 years, should be able to take the equivalent of 5 first round draft picks. There are 350 teams and LIke I said, only a homer cheers for a broken system that favors themselves. (Bringing up UConn, in the FF again! only makes my point). No one cares. That is why only a few million watch the gatekeeper teams play for a natty and nearly 20 million will watch an organically developed team, with a lot of talent parity, try to win - Because that is sport. - Imagine Milwaukee getting 5 first rounders this year, and next, and next. No one would watch just like no one watched the 60s Celtics. It was not sporting. Go Gamecocks, no one cares - killing the sport.

They won't hype up themselves, they ain't never gonna hype up somebody else.

@@mrstillhungry She might not get a roster spot if things don't turn her way. She's not able to space the floor for a WNBA player, and lacks the interior size for a center. Cameron Brink might become a bust too, since she's not bulky/ big enough with the current NCAA centers, but if she becomes a 4, she's more likely to contribute. I think there are only like 4 to 5 safe bets for teams to keep their drafted players. Clark's team needs a PG and she's the only natural passing/ scoring PG that has that experience. Cordosa will definitely get playing time at center. Edwards has experience, and a couple more might be able to break the mold for their scoring potential and defensive contributions. The other players just can't score enough or do not have the experience to play the natural positions they will have in the WNBA since they didn't play those same spots in college. Most WNBA is played with post-play and have like that older style of NBA play where size is more important. Especially since most teams shoot under 40% from the floor, like the leading scorer, as an example.
@@lamargettens2370 Yeah, she shot some shots a couple days before the draft. I don't think that helps someone get drafted. We aren't impressed by Ben Simmons doing summer videos anymore. Most people have gotten wise to that and will decide on the results in the training camp. Cordoza's stock rose cause she delivered in the NCAA tournament. Angel's performance in her current run showed that the shots weren't there and this isn't a good look for someone drafting her--even though she's great at rebounding. People can't play her as an undersized center, so they need her to have more range on the floor since most people have their 4 spaced a little more out there. We haven't seen Angel perform that way, so it's not expected she has that available on DAY ONE, so she'd need a lot of time to add it. Who knows how many months or years it takes to have the ability to shoot those shots in an actual game reliably... WNBA average height is 6-2, so she's losing her advantage in college against professionals like Aja and others that wouldn't really have an issue in those situations.
[Thanks for not using the background music :D ] CC can consistently make the NBA 3 better than most wnba players can make the wnba 3. This spreads the floor, which obviously creates more space for her teammates. There are already a lot of wide open 3s attempted in the wnba, CC will have a feast after a while, especially late in the game with tired defense.
Sheryl Swoopes sat on that podcast and straight up lied about Caitlin Clark's number of years played at Iowa, her age, and the number of shots she takes in "every" game. Not one person sitting there or their "fact checkers" in the background called her out in it.
The level of ego from the players in this league is insane. All of it undeserved for the level of notoriety the WNBA garners. One of the few sports leagues where if people aren't talking down about it it's not getting talked about. The last time people cared about the WNBA in any major capacity before Clark it was about Brittney Griners prison term in Russia.
Michael Jordan is every basketball player’s goal (man or woman)….Michael Jordan won his NCAA Basketball Championship Title in 1982, but Michael Jordan became the GOAT when he got to the professional level. Michael Jordan is the GOAT! 🐐
@grahamchan6327 That's your argument? Isaiah was great when he had his bullies. Once MJ figured it out he never lost to Zeek again. Bird had an all time great cast. Once Jordan had Pippen at an all star level it was over for the league.
I think part of the jealousy is NIL. These players were great in college. There were lots of fans but they never got paid.People like Caitlyn have made millions of dollars in one year. Plus she has all this hype coming into their league. They don't make money, so they can't imagine that will change. So all they have is hate.
Difference between Clark and those greats that bash her, they joined Final Four teams, Clark led a team to the Final Four. and she beat both teams that beat her for the title.
You are getting very offended by what others are saying. Time will tell. Kelsey Plum struggled Chamique Holdsclaw struggled. WNBA women struggle than NBA players because there is only 120 players. Most of the girls coming out get cut. Not saying that she will be cut, but she will have her struggles. Defense that picks her up early, as did South Carolina, runs her off the 3 point line and speeds her up causes problems. She will probably figure it out.
I mean some of the great players of the 80s didn't like the attention MJ was getting before playing an NBA game. Isiah Thomas was probably the most well known. Wilt also took a shot at MJ back in the 90s to suggest he was greater because the league made rules to make it harder for Wilt, but also made rules to make it easier on MJ.
I watched the whole Gil episode and I wouldn’t say she was hating. She said that CC was fortunate that Iowa left her be her and take that many shots. Said she was a generational shooter talent and that she hoped that the W would improve w her in it. She did a pretty good job explaining DT’s comments on CC that made sense to me. It is definitely true that some of the retired players are super salty and racist abt CC tho.
Whatever team she goes to will have to build around her and the way she plays as her college team has or her talents will be wasted. Hopefully older teammates will swallow their pride knowing she's the star and will help them advance. Good luck.
WNBA has a great game to watch, I think, with the passing, and now some great shooters. But their entitled attitude is killing them. Do they know that Jerry West and Elgin Baylor of the Lakers used to go around on weekends and make mall appearances for a couple hundred bucks? I know the guy who drove them. You need to be liked to get followed. And to be liked, be likeable. I'm guessing most of the WNBA players are, but the ones they have representing them often aren't
It wasn't the media that broke 45 records. It wasn't the media that made me watch all the games after I saw her play once. Was it the media that made you a hater or was it your parents?
Every WNBA player is a flawed player. There’s no one in the WNBA that has her range and ease of shooting. She’ll also get better when basketball is her job and she’s not worrying about classes and grades while getting better coaching and training.
Lexi Brown of the Sparks is a journeyman who has played on FOUR teams in 6 years and is a "career" 6 PPG "player"....In fact, she's had 2 seasons where she averaged 1.4 and 1.6 PPG respectively.....NUFF SAID.....

That would take a direct shit on a lot of the WNBA players demanding equality in pay but not actually going for real equality.
The reason no one goes for this is because most female athletes would be out of sports and the few who weren't would have a signifigantly reduced role just to prove a point. Clark could be an NBA player but she'd be undermining the very existence of the WNBA if she did that.
@@ransom6892 yeah, the ball is bigger, the opponent are way bigger, faster, and more athletic. There is a real smart reason why the divisions are different. Clark will be fine in the WBNA if she can keep those numbers, but in the NBA she probably wouldnt even start in the G-League.
She would get trashed in the nba. Everyone is bigger, stronger, quicker, and faster with higher verticals. A middle of the pack g-leaguer would average 40 in the wnba.
Is anyone honestly surprised that the first time we see a female basketball player that could really boost interest in the game and take it to that next level in terms of popularity, all the other women players are trying to tear her down? Didn’t Bill Burr just talk about this 😂
This is a really silly argument. This isn't the NBA we are talking about. These WNBA players aren't set for life and are constantly playing for their next contract. Basketball is also their life. To say that they are lazy is asinine.
Players like Caitlin and Steph earned the "shoot from anywhere" green light. There aren't many players with that level of freedom because there aren't that many players with that level of shot-making. To imply that Caitlin's stats come from the freedom is putting the cart before the horse. In other words, Lexi is hating.
The difference is Caitlin Clark has a father unlike most of the WNBA demographic. Where's Angel Reese father during her games? Most think Shaq is her dad.
These ladies are their own worst enemy. Hating a person because she is so well known and well paid is an act of jealousy. If the WNBA can’t fix it, then the WNBA is done. Personally I’m already turned off by the nasty behavior and won’t be watching another game.
Caitlyn Clark's shooting prowess is often touted as one of her strongest assets on the basketball court. No doubt, she possesses a deadly stroke, capable of sinking shots from seemingly impossible angles and distances. Her ability to knock down shots in clutch moments has garnered her much attention and admiration. Yet, for all her shooting prowess, there are elements of her game that leave something to be desired. Clark's tendency to rely heavily on her shooting prowess can sometimes border on being one-dimensional. While she's undeniably a threat from beyond the arc, her shot selection can be questionable at times, with a penchant for taking ill-advised shots early in the shot clock or forcing up contested jumpers. Moreover, while Clark's long-range shooting is impressive, her mid-range game appears to be lacking. She often settles for deep threes rather than working to create higher-percentage looks closer to the basket. This predictability can make her easier to defend for savvy opponents who know how to exploit her tendencies. In addition, Clark's shooting form, while effective, could benefit from refinement. There are moments where her mechanics seem rushed or off-balance, leading to inconsistent shooting performances. Developing a more consistent shooting stroke could elevate her game to the next level and make her a truly unstoppable offensive force. Overall, while Caitlyn Clark's shooting ability is undoubtedly formidable, there are areas where she could stand to improve. By diversifying her offensive repertoire, refining her shot selection, and honing her shooting mechanics, she could become an even more impactful player on the court.

Thank you for the honest assessment. I like Caitlin Clark she plays no defense, and no one plays any real defense on her. All she does is shoot majority 3s and pass the ball. But I don't see how she's the greatest
@@lamargettens2370 No, but they are all hating in this case. Everyone of these females keeps lying about how many shots she takes and using that lie as a reason for why she will get a "reality check" in the WNBA.
The "machine" is quite frankly a different beast today than it was in the past. CC is being promoted and talked about in spaces that are being seen by tens of millions of people. Not hard to understand how that might help someone's popularity. Comparing that to women's basketball being occasionally brought up on television is quite a bit different.
I've never been interested in the WNBA in my entire life. Not even mildly interested. I'm genuinely interested now because of Caitlin Clark. Other WNBA players should be grateful because she can (and already has started to) be the one to put women's basketball on the map. It has nothing to do with the machine marketing her (as if it's the music industry or something, like she's Taylor Swift when there's so many better artists/better music being made), she's just a transcendent athlete.
Because you're wrong. Clarke was defensive player of the year as a freshman. Clark was not allowed to play defense as Iowa was so thin with 2 players out, they couldn't risk her fouling out. Watch the end of games where she is blocking shots like crazy.
