So if you ever overhear anything about him or his life, take this into account: all of his skeletons are laying in the open, as opposed to most people in his sphere who have well maintained skeleton closets.
@bennymountain1 I think he said once something like he might actually be the person who has the most time of his life recorded and available online. I was sceptic at that at first, surely that person must be some celebrity or politician or a news anchor or something like that. But after thinking for a moment, it probably is him. Not only did Trump dispute the election results but he was the first President to not welcome the incumbent President Elect and their family into the White House. Every President, since the history of the White House, has welcomed the incumbent into the White House and peacefully assisted the transfer of power, even the beautiful letters written between Bush to Obama is a perfect example of the professionalism and decency of welcoming in the new First Family. Obama welcomed Trump. trump did not return the favour. Speaks volumes on his character.

Destiny - This was really helpful. I have been doing a bit of what you are doing now on RU-vid comment sections. One thing I have been trying is to focus on Trump’s actions during the mob violence. He did not go to the Situation Room, or call anyone to get reinforcements to the Capitol Police. For me, that kinda proves definitively that when he said “peacefully protest” once in his speech - versus “fight” 19 times, he meant for them to be violent (otherwise he would have called to fix the problem). One thing to take issue with Sam Harris when he states that "Kamala Harris' unworkable idea of a wealth tax". First, this is not Kamala Harris' idea - this is an idea that came from respected economists and is in practice in some countries, as stated in Wikipedia: As of 2017, five of the 36 OECD countries had a personal wealth tax (down from 12 in 1990). But, just as an example, the real estate tax is a wealth tax. There is a major crack up in global civilization that will occur if there is not some kind of leveling wealth tax.
@@whatsthatnoise5955 I don't know if Sam Harris is really wealthy enough that he would fall into a wealth tax, but if he is, too bad, tough toenails for him, he could pay it without any pain if he was a billionaire or multi-millionaire. That's the point.
Thank you! I had the same reaction. What is he even talking about? Massachusetts has implemented it. And Sam argued for a one time wealth tax back in 2011. What gives?

Does he mean the tax itself would not work, or trying to get one passed in the US is politically unworkable - unless one wants to get totally destroyed or even assassinated?
Honestly more like 8 years ago. I remember telling Destiny this and him calling Sam a R word because he used to dislike Sam without critically engaging with this views until now. To answer your question Sam about how someone who is in the middle can decide to support Trump after having the knowledge that he didn't allow for a peaceful transfer of power: 1. Kamala Harris reminds me of a CEO who's on live television while their companys stock is plummeting telling the news that their workers "don't need severance packages if we go bankrupt because we've never been stronger as a company" - *and this company proceeds to file bankruptcy the next morning.* In other words she reeks of the same lack of honesty as Hilary Clinton did. Biden didn't have this problem. 2. Trump was president before. And things didn't go to shit. *At least they didn't for me.* If when Trump was president my job was suffering and interest rates were through the roof and food was 50% more expensive I'd be that much less inclined to vote for him. That wasn't the case during his presidency, it was and is during Bidens. Trust me I'm well aware that is looking at it through a very surface level lens - but that level of depth is all I have time for as a american with family, a relationship, a job, rent, and plenty of other responsibilites. Especially when the location of accurate information regarding the effectiveness of a president is hardly evident anywhere. I don't know where to look for accurate information on how well a president has performed... Wikipedia? I look at what is going on in my life cause I don't want to waste my time on bias people talk. YOUR'E one person who I follow who I feel tries their hardest to not be bias, which is a huge reason why I listen to you. Destiny? Bias as hell, controversial cause it makes him money and gets clicks. That's how he's sounded to me 99% of the time that I've heard him talk. That's how most people in the middle feel about 99% of people talking politics. 3. The last thing is - Trump at least shows some charisma and confidence, Kamala retreating from any debate or a discussion does not help me have confidence that she is the person to run the country. If she doesn't have the confidence to have a serious discussion under pressure then how does that make our country look to the rest of the world if she is our leader? While Trump is an ego maniac, full of himself, and narcissistic he at least does not seem to lack the confidence to LEAD. Even delusional self confidence beats no confidence. I want to feel confident in my country, like my country wants what is best for me and every citizen, I don't want to feel like my country is playing me for a fool or that my country is outsmarting me, I don't want to feel like my country is virtue signalling and pandering to me, those these get under my skin so much.
Your last paragraph should be the reason you vote for Kamala. Trump is nothing but empty populist pandering. Is hugging the flag and holding a Bible upside down not the textbook definition of virtue signaling? Also just as a statement about reason 2, the president has very little to do with the economy and c0v1d caused global inflation, of which the US was on the better end compared to other nations.

Its incredibly frustrating to watch spinsters who have no idea about the inner workings of the military have personal conviction in Walz not deploying. -He submitted his request for retirement prior to the unit being activated for deployment and it was approved... -He was an E9... he likely only ever interacted with "frontline troops" (MN NG unit, not the 82nd) during recognition ceremonies and unit administrative events and would have been the same overseas... -Above all, he was a senior enlisted member of a STATE NATIONAL GUARD UNIT. They all swore an oath to the Governor of Minnesota not the office of the POTUS. Is there George W had no business making an executive order to send NG units to a foreign country to begin with
I've been trying to figure out what to make of this “Destiny” (Steven Bonnell) guy when the only real thing to recommend him is that he is a Liberal Left of Center guy who I often agree with and who sticks it to some of the folks he is debating with. The flip side of that is that, no matter how much he knows and facts he can quote, as Sam pointed out that he is totally off-base when it comes to the Middle East and Iran. It makes me feel like he is being manipulative towards his audience in terms of not letting go of some kind of attachment to the Palestinians/Arabs/Muslims. Sam is so obviously clued in to the reality of what Israel faces while "Destiny" ( yuck ) plays the Ben Shapiro game of talking super-fast and quoting HIS facts so he can flip around or overwhelm his debate opponent. I was unimpressed and even at times repulsed by his argumentatative-debate-macho, and interpersonal political skills - like where he sounded like he was manipulating Candace Owens, who is a complete loon. Tell me where is sanity? The best I can see is Sam Harris. I find it hard to find something to disagree with him on. I did agree with Destiny about his perception of the scale of threat of the Right-wing versus Wokeness, or what Elon Musk calls the Woke-Mind-Virus, which I find disgusting and only a way to attack the Left. Stop attacking these people or groups or imagined groups and start focusing on facts, history, perceptions, debate, which we do not get enough of. When people delve into Middle Eastern history it is often at first interest in finding out more, but then it becomes like a super-power of being to throw up an argument to support their opinion or defend their predjudice. I don't think Destiny has any conception of the MIddle East outside of the arguments he's had with people on Social Media. I could of course be wrong, but that is my gut feeling. What do you think?
