Thanks for the effort you put into, and willingness to share this video. The table saw is my favourite tool and have never met anyone who has mastered the use of it like you. That table saw was made in 2000 and still looks brand new, a testament to taking care of your tools. Again, thanks for this, its inspiring me to go and tune up my saw.

I have the same siding end table on my Delta Saw along with a fold down roller out feed extension.

Nice video,thank you. I to use the Delta sliding table and it is tedious to adjust and keep adjusted.As you say , all moving parts and surfaces must be kept clean for the saw to cut accurately. I bought mine when it first came out way back when. They have not been sold new for a long time. There are some very nice sliders on the marker but not cheap by any means. They take some getting used to but they will do very nice work for you.

Amazing Joe. Found you from a search for that Delta sliding table saw attachment. I have one, and it works great. However I have to often remove it to make rips that don't clear the sliding table's fence. I see that you keep the sliding carriage on. You have a way around this? Looks like you are simply removing the fence. Thanks again for the great tips. I have implemented several of them now and my Unisaw is singing and less dusty.

A little insight from me: I worked in printing for years, and on our machined surfaces (mostly large hydraulic paper cutter beds) we used spray silicone to protect the surface and keep it slick.... wood and paper are from the same family.... needed something to lubricate but not be oily

These are fantastic ideas. I just bought a Delta 36-725T2 and I'm looking forward to implementing some of these. Question: On #15, would this be in place of a riving knife? If so, what was your purpose in going with this method as an alternative?

Man this setup was way beyond its time. Question what are you using an 8' table to the right of the blade for, thats big enough for a full sheet sheet goods . You took a lot of time to figure out that setup i hope its made you a lot of money over the years. And your humble, Some guys just rave about how good they are seriously who cares does your work always show it? Would you sell trash or a job you didn't like the qulity of the finished product. You've built a lot of safty into that system. I like that you cant be too safe. Guys who run table saws without a spliter riving knife and anti kick back devices are just playing russian roulette One day that chambers going to be loaded. Every guy or gal who's ran a tool has had at least 1 close call. Your just one close call from the emergency room lowering the odds is your best bet if you lower it to a long shot. Like 100000000 to 1 but even thats not full proof. My point I had a table saw guard fly off the saw and hit me in the face just turning on the saw. Never stand in line with the blade when you turn on the saw Carbide teeth can fly off and hit you like a bullet. Get in the habit of lowering the blade into the table, You dont know if someone set somthing on your saw when you were not around and hit a tooth hard enough to break the weld. You come in later flip on the saw and the tooth is launched at 10000 rpm or near 100 miles an hour.

Also, for 39, are the blade stabilizers a permanent install thing? I just ordered a 3-pk of zero clearance blanks and I haven't cut them yet. Just wondering if I should do that mod before I cut them?

At 41:00 I have no idea what the eccentric/off-center metal plug and nylon screw are intended to accomplish with respect to the fence.
