I was a bit stunned by your low sub and view numbers, and I really hope they change quickly. Your content is really nice and definitely deserved a broader audience. Keep at it, and I'm sure the quality will get you there :)
Hey thanks appreciate the kind words! Comments like this defiantly do encourage me to keep on the same path. It certainly takes a long time to make videos in this style, but I enjoy doing it.
You have an amazing voice and presentation, I really hope you gain more traction as time passes, you deserve more exposure for the betterment of youtube as a whole. Thank you for all your hard work and don't give up on this, you are very talented.
I just wish this game had a 'casual' difficulty on single player campaign. With an unlucky map draw it can be a brutal and punishing slog playing solo. Sometimes you just want to unwind with decent odds of coming out on top at the end. Especially (as you point out) the ridiculous amount of character combinations that give the game replay value. Giving the solo campaign an 'easier' option wouldn't make it a one-and-done out of boredom... it'd give those that want to solo the desire to play it over and over and over again.
Yep I agree! I think that kind of option could also shorten the game a bit. Which would be nice at times. Because I don’t always want to spend 2-3 hours on 1 match haha
Happy to do it! I actually just published a combat targeting guide. Check it out! Demeo Guide: Combat Targeting ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ISKjTh1pHh8.html
Great video helped a lot with my decision to get this game and luckily it was on sale £25 for both versions on meta quest store. Don't usually play these sort of games but now is the most played game on my vr very addictive.
Nice!!! Glad you are liking it and found this video helpful! I have 2 other videos talking about Demeo strategy. If you haven’t watched them give them a look!
great video i slept on this game for a while due to the time commitment but finally got it, i too have a love for d&d and board games i sat down to try it out for a bit, two hours later i was still playing a solo 4 man dungeon the game is worth it
1:06 😮 All the reviews i have seen of Demeo on PSVR2, i never heard or saw any mention of figure painting. Is this feature not in the PSVR2 version. Would have snapped it up by now if it is, and i'd known. I'm gonna get it at some point for sure, but this would move it up my priority list. Great vid. 👍✌
The PSVR 2 version of the game does not have Heroes Hangout which includes the painting. It’s a little social hub with some mini games to kill time. And PSVR 2 owners are not missing out on much here. Almost no one uses it. The minis you paint don’t get used during the game. They are only in the little painting room. Now if you could paint something and see it show up during a match that would be cool. But that’s just now how it is.
Absolutely remarkable video! 100+ of demeo under my belt and this still made me want to jump back in again. I've introduced VR to many people with this game and they all ask why haven't they known about VR up until now. I welcome them to the secret society of the coolest technology on Earth 🙂
That was very entertaining to watch and listen. I love Demeo by myself, but sometimes its getting too boring watching every animation, so I wish they make a setting to skip some of that
I used to love playing Demeo on the Quest 2 with my buddy. Unfortunately we can no longer do that as she uses the Quest 1 which is no longer supported. We both grabbed it on the PS5 and now play flat screen instead. It loses some of the magic but is still very enjoyable.
"I was charmed" - LOL. Good stuff, nice cinematic bits. More please. You are thinking about a video focused on each book? I suppose you could make up for lack of content on Book I by covering the basic cards.
Loved your video and was shocked at how much I have to learn! Biggest question I’ve always had is how to find the boss in dungeon 4. I keep killing the dragons, but they just come back to life. I’ve tried placing my champions in those special squares, but nothing appears. What am I doing wrong?
Thank you! You need to place all of your champions in the kit up squares simultaneously. There will be 1 for each champion. Then he gets revealed. As you learned kill the hydra heads so nothing. The tail however use useful as it stuns the hydras for a turn. So keep that in mind!
If you like turn based games, it definitely scratches that itch. And time just flies by playing this game. But it can be a little punishing to new comers.
@@vrvector oh nice! What are some of your favorites? I own way too much Aeon’s End, and Gloomhaven. I somehow have tricked my wife into playing them with me haha.
@@bmackVR Nice😅. I didn’t play those two, so need to explore. Some of our favorites are Stone Age, Small World, Five Tribes, 7 Wonders, Castle for all Season and number of others in different styles and sizes.👍
I have never played anything like this before and it looks amazing but at the sametime quite overwhelming. How donyou remember what cards to play and what abilities they have? Is it best the play single mode first until i have a basic understanding?
It just comes with time and understanding of the game and its enemies. Most enemies are quite weak. So I’m basically just save my cards for the scary ones. Watch my two other Demeo videos. It gets a bit into this.
I lean towards PCVR, because the visuals are slightly better and given that it’s a long game, a lot of quest users run into low battery problems when trying to complete a game. So there is a good chance you’re gonna be plugged into a wall when playing anyway. Now there is a nice save feature in the game, but if your in a group and your rolling… you don’t want to be the one without a battery haha. Streaming it to the headset should consume less of the battery as well because the heavy lifting is done elsewhere. But if you want to take it on the go or play elsewhere get the quest version. It might also be a Meta Quest+ game so there is that to consider as well.
@@bmackVR Thanks it seems like it's crossbuy so I'll get the quest store version and then I get pcvr as well. Hopefully they add Mr to it. Subbed btw, surprised you don't have more
What would i get out of Demeo that i dont get out of Gloomhaven? just asking after seeing the video it gives me Gloom vibes, but nothing really more. am i missing a huge bunch?
I love both and I have frosthaven sitting on my board game table unopened haha. It is built for VR, so that table presence is very real. It’s a MUCH lighter game than Gloomhaven. There isn’t any legacy style campaign, it’s just like a standard board game dungeon crawl. It’s very approachable, but it does take time to master and learn the finer points. Games take anywhere from 1-3 hours, which is similar to GH. Overall I would say the reason to play would be if you are looking for something lighter, or want to experience the classes, and master all 5 books. If you like the heavier, and more strategic rules of Gloomhaven, and don’t want something lighter, it might not be for you.
I have got the game in the beginning of the month on psvr2. Im loving the game, o should get sooner. Just one question. The psvr2 version doesn't have the social hub? I did not find it.
That is correct the PSVR 2 version does not have the social hub. But honestly that’s not a big loss. Not a lot of people really use it and the stuff that is in there doesn’t really add much to the game. It’s best used as a way to kill time until your friends get on and there are plenty of other ways to do that.

Sometimes the respawns can be frustrating. I think it’s supposed to keep you moving but yeah I would like to see it balanced a little different. I like the RNG so things stay fresh though.
@@bmackVR rng is one thing, but clearing the space only to have them spawn back is annoying. I think they should have focused more on tactical gameplay.
