Demetri Martin Performs a Hilarious Standup Set 

Demetri did good. It's just that a room full of Ellen fans isn't really his target audience. They don't get "quirky".

A lot of people don’t get his humor but if you watch his actual standup specials, you’ll see why this doesn’t do him justice. He’s such a funny guy.

Damn. That audience is not great. This guy is a legend.

Demetri Martin, in my opinion, is one of the most underrated observational comics of all time.

Demetri's jokes are too sophisticated for this audience.

His material often has play-on-words and requires the audience to infer (e.g. the fajitas joke). They didn't catch on and he did his best to plow through. He managed to get a better reaction towards the end, Props

He is my all time favorite comedian! He takes the stuff we all do and knows that we all struggle with the same stuff every day and makes it hilarious!

This made my day! I used to listen to him when I was probably 13-14 and LOVED him. I made all of my friends listen to him too! Hard to believe I started listening to his comedy acts a decade ago!

I love the tension when the audience isn't quite into it... Demetri totally goes into full troll-mode, which is almost funnier than the jokes themselves. Genius 😎
