Bro be honest. This is BJJ real fight the guy quite literally bench pressed DJ at one point. He would pick him up and give him the nastiest power bomb and knock him out cold. DJ knows that’s what would happen in a real fight too
@@arlllllllllbstyeah maybe, and that’s still a maybe, this guy could do that (notwithstanding that in real life he’d never grab hold of DJ like that cause DJ could run circles around him spamming leg and head kicks and even nutshots until he gets tired). This guy is a BJJ brown belt and it’s still a maybe - Martin is untrained, no grappling afaik
Bradley martin been real quiet lately Edit: To all those saying "but there's no rules in a street fight", I need you all to think that through for a moment......DJ is (possibly) the greatest combat athlete of all time and is capable of fighting effectively without rules. Bradley doesn't know how to fight in general, with or without rules.
Dudes an absolute MONSTER of a fighter. The "fans" did him dirty by not paying money for his fights. If he was doing big numbers he'd still be in the UFC now.
If we’re being honest, everything is still more challenging for him due to his size. Yes he’s elite skill wise but when it comes to his stature, he’s almost always at a disadvantage so he has to use his skills to manipulate the opponent rather than just being able to have an immediate advantage with size. He seems like he looks at life like he’s a video game character and he is trying to figure out what cheat codes apply and don’t apply.
Agreed. Like he was giving about 80%. If he gave 100% and was fighting for his life, it would've been much closer. Might have even won. I'm a big guy too and it's awkward fighting little guys. There's this weird sense you don't want to give it your all because you might really hurt them. But then the little guys do give it their all (props) and can definitely kick your ass if you hold back. I've seen a 130 lb. guy beat the crap out of a 250 lb. guy in a street fight with punches to the face and the fight was over in about 5 seconds.
Thought I was the only one that noticed that? 😂😂 everyone is hyping up the little guy. Which to be fair he is skilled. But that big look like he wasn’t doing anything.
He won his division, and the top few from school division are given the chance to enter straight into the open weight division. DJ entered and his first match was against the winner of the super heavyweight division (the guy in this video), DJ won, and then faced the winner of the heavyweight division and lost.
His opponent is a 248lb brown belt. Basically a legit heavy weight. Even with this video I don't think people realize how insane this is. Its not only BJJ skill here that DJ is showing. Simply being great at BJJ would not enable him to overcome the size difference. His strength to weight ratio, body sense, and overall athleticism, combined with his crazy skill enabled him to win. Absolutely bonkers. Bradley Martin would get choked unconscious in under a minute.
@@ohgeazytell me you don’t train without telling me you don’t train. Mighty has such great awareness and keen athleticism paired with top level bjj experience and iq. None of the moves he did were really above mid level blue belt but his proficiency to execute those moves and techniques put him far above others. Come on now.
He's too nice and clean. In these times good guys really come last. Fortunately it's a natural part of him and he has his life in order so no crashing out or mismanagement like those hype machines who make for better media personalities.
@@JackCrossSamanot true in a fight. You have to make far larger movements/ work harder to not be moved, to compensate for your opponent being so much larger and stronger. There is little-to no advantage in being a foot smaller in a fight. Except having better reflexes.
@@34geminimusic76height doesn’t mean size. The correct term would be a a foot shorter lol. Even though dude in blue is shorter and has a smaller build and frame than his opponent in this one
@@34geminimusic76incorrect if you look at the statistics it’s normally the smaller man who wins, having the speed, the movement and cardio advantage, where the big guy only has the power advantage but good luck hitting the much faster guy.
@@francisco.argento2685couldnt really see from the angle but I assume it was a constrictor type of lock where the more the guy struggled the worse it got because he gave in very quickly.
@@francisco.argento2685it’s a collar choke. You see him reach in with both hands and get his grip then he pulls the collar against his neck to choke him. Which is usually enough to get people to roll but he his very heavy so dj stuck his leg under the big guys stomach for more leverage. And once he rolled him onto his back he just pulled on his collar and twisted his lower body until he got the tap. Dj is a master
And this is why this man is the GOAT of MMA…. Pure class and talent across numerous sports, rule sets and now even weight divisions… always pleasant, humble and smiling and a great role model, and never taken a steroid in his life. Glad I got to witness this man do his thing.
That's actually crazy. The fact that this is a trained big dude as well, even if it's low level compared to mighty mouse that means a big dude with absolutely no training is a dead man vs him.
Shit brown belt is right under an black belt. He's damn near a master himself but mighty mouse is flawless an very high level bjj artist. He's 1 in a million for sure! After brown it's black belt then red/black then red/white which both considered "coral belts then a master is red belt.
@@romierome-ew1gb if you pick Demetrius Johnson in a fight over jones (at the same size) you know nothing about actual survival and what it means to be a killer. He would eat him alive. This is not karate kid buddy
How can you not admire Demetrius Johnson and his impressive career? All around, great man, gamer, fighter, personality. Pure talent. Nothing but respect to the Mighty DJ.🙏🏾
